Free meal plan

Just wondering if anyone knows when the free meal plan will be offered this year?

The offer was already done for ressies until the end of September I think. It expired sometime in December. Usually they come out iwth more dates in the spring for later in the year. I think last year, they came out with oct-dec dates either at the end of March or beginning of July

According to the Mousesavers Historical Discounts page, the general public Late Summer/Early Fall free dining promotion came out on May 3rd (with the Disney Visa cardholders being released the previous weekend). Of course, this was also the first year they offered a large Free Dining promotion at the end of the current year, so whether or not there'll be another offer is unknown at this time.

They did offer free dining for 2011, it had to be booked by Dec 20, 2010. It was for a wide range of dates, up to the end of Sept. No one knows if they'll offer it for those dates again. This was the first time they offered it so early as a general public discount (usually it's been a bounceback deal to be offered so early).

I have booked 6 days in October with the free meal plan, but want to add a 7th day. They will not add a day, I have to cancel and redo the reservation, but they are not offering the free meal plan now so I cant do it. What a pain just to add a day of my money I want to spend on Disney Property, and they don't want my money.

I hope they offer it again! We went in September 2009 and they offered the free plan I think in the spring/summer of 09 after we already booked and when we called to get the free DDP they said it didn't apply to us because we were staying at The Swan. I didn't even see the offer for this year! We just booked at CBR hoping that they would offer the plan the same time they did when we went before!! It would really save us some $$!!

I had booked 8/27-9/4, under the free dining promo that expired 12/20/10. Two weeks ago I added 8/26 onto my vacation, with the free dining promotion intact. Free dining started for the promo 8/15.

Something's not right there... I would phone back, talk to a different CM. If that CM refuses, ask to talk to Guest Services.

Just 20 days ago we decided to extend our trip by 2 days. A day earlier and a day later. The addition was made no problem!!

Quick question: when u extended you vaca was it a hassle to change flights?

Last year when we extended our vacation (also a free dining promotion), we added 2 days on. It wasn't a hassle, but we did have to pay a $50 fee per ticket to have JetBlue change our return flight.

This year, I have not booked our flights yet. So it wasn't a worry.

The Swan and Dolphin hotels are not managed by Disney and therefore are ineligible for the Dining Plan, free or otherwise.

I would try calling back & checking with a different CM. I have known several people to add days after the FD booking promo ended, unless all the rooms were booked at the resort. Good luck!
