Free Meal Plan Included with Hotel Package

I've just started watching the various Disney sites, to take note of the kinds of offers that are made available, so that I know what to look out for when I'm ready to book my Summer 2017 trip.

I've noticed that sometimes Disney will offer a package that includes a free Half Board Meal Plan. Would this just be the "Hotel" level of the plan? If so, is it possible to pay to upgrade it?

The free hb level is usually dependant on your hotel, Santa Fe & Cheyenne are standard, Sequoia, Newport & New York are plus & DLH is premium.

You can upgrade from half board to full board, but you can't change category, you'd have to upgrade hotel to change category.

You can always pay the extra on top of your voucher value in a higher category restaurant

We are more than likely going to blow the budget to stay at DLH (once-in-a-lifetime trip to celebrate my daughter's graduation). In that case, finding a package that includes dining would be a great deal! (We'll be looking to save money everywhere else, in order to try to justify the hotel!)

I just read a review of Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show and saw that someone mentioned paying the difference from the voucher. That's good to know!

I'm hoping someone here can give me some answers!

We're currently booked under a package we booked months ago from the US site, but it looks like we'll save money switching to the UK/half board package being offered. Can they make switches like that between country website offers (plus any change fees of course) or would we have to cancel/rebook if we wanted to take advantage of this offer? We've actually lost our confirmation (long story short, we were originally traveling with friends who did all the booking, who have since canceled their trip and rebooked us) so I'm going to call tomorrow to see, but I was hoping the DIS could cut out on my waiting!

Considering the USD is slightly lower than the Euro, any little bit helps!

no, you can't switch to another countries offer, you can only switch to another offer from the same country you originally booked with.
