Free Meal Offer at Ulu Cafe: How does it work?

You're right, there actually is a sign when you first walk in on the wall that has prices. I didn't see any upfront though at the ordering counter (you can see the ulu meal plan sign doesn't list prices) but maybe I missed it. I was actually only looking at the meal plan sign lol

Thank you so much Southlake for the picture as that makes understanding this offer a lot easier! I agree with your statement in that a $3.00 bag of chips counts the same as a $14.00 hot plate is a little ridiculous however having the sign really helps. We had stayed at Atlantis several years ago in the Bahamas and they had a free breakfast promo however only certain items counted as being "free." There was no sign and at the end of the week it was quite the surprise to get my room bill for breakfast items we thought were free. No fun!

You can pay money for this meal plan in advance I see on the Disney website it is $15 per day plus tax. Doesn't really seem worthwhile to me. I am guessing you can make it work out but you would really need to focus on getting your moneys worth each day

The free meal offer is available for dates of arrival from 1/2/17 thru 3/24/17 and offer coincides with room discount savings from 20% to 35% depending on whether you stay 4 or 5 nights and type of view. The resort reservation must be booked by 10/3/16 to take advantage of the offer. Not sure if the offer will be extended after 10/3/16 so check Aulani's website or call reservations directly.

We will be using this promotion in early January. We will have five people in our room. Do you just scan your room key to get the meal? Can two people go and get all five meals to take out of the restaurant? Or does each person have to be there to get their meal?

One person can go and buy all 5 meals. If you are getting the hot plate of the day, and want to take it some distance, ask for it take away and it comes in an easy to travel take away case otherwise it is on a plate and 5 of those would be hard to carry.

When paying you just hand over your room key and they will take off the required number of meals.
