So to ask a stupid question, what is the slider for?
My DH's just came and no slide....I checked the entire box...I hope when mine arrives, it has it...
I thought mine had come without the slider but it was caught up in the packing materials in a gap. Did you check there? It's a gap in the cardboard insert that holds the bands.
Oh my gosh, thank you!! I just went to the recylce bin and pulled the boxes and broke them apart, and there was the slider, it fell between the crevices. I am so glad I came back to check this thread. Honestly, the only reason I ordered the bands was for the slider otherwise I have way too many bands to manage already, lol!
I am going to upgrade tickets to Dvc ap when we get there. Will they hand out a slider there or will I get a ap mb when I get home from the trip and order it?
The MagicBands for being a Passholder are only available by mail (US addresses only) and you will not be able to order them until you have received your actual AP.
Thank you! Do they come in colors different from the regular mb's?
You should be able to go to your MDE account online and click on "MagicBands and Cards" and see at the top of the page a choice to customize MagicBands. Under "Affiliation" it says "Disney Passholder." The slides are not very big and could easily get thrown away. I did initially throw away the ID discount cards because I didn't realize they were inside literature at the bottom. Between MagicBands for DH, myself and all of the family members whose accounts I manage I have opened a LOT of these boxes and didn't think I needed to look at any of the paperwork. Luckily for me I recycle everything I can and I found the cards when breaking down the boxes for recycling.
On a different note, our next trip is this November. Do I need to order resort bands also or will the Passholder bands work as room keys too?
If I had not been reading this forum I would have never realized there was a card UNDER the bands! Thanks for that infoOn a different note, our next trip is this November. Do I need to order resort bands also or will the Passholder bands work as room keys too?
Thanks in advance and Happy Easter!
We are booked 7 days on sept and going to purchase the Ap by end of this month at the discounted DVC price. After purchasing will I need to link via conf number or wait until we get to check in? We already have bands customized to what colors we want but no tickets linked to them. I'm sure it's simple and I'm just overlooking it also.
You can link the AP will call confirmation number to your MDE profile which will allow you to make FP+ selections beginning at 60 days from check-in.
You will still need to visit either a park ticket window or guest relations location to exchange for your actual pass(es).
Sorry for being dense Michael, but I have a follow up question I think you answered, but I want to clarify.
We will order DVC AP's by phone and choose Will Call. We will activate them our first day in Epcot in October. I will have a Will Call confirmation number.
Can I use that to order the AP Magic Bands, or do I need an actual AP number which I will not get in advance of arrival?
I think I understand that I can link the Will Call confirmation number in MDE so that I can make FP+ choices in advance - right?
Thanks for your patience.
The will call confirmation for APs will allow you to make advance FP+ selections.
You will not be able to request the Passholder MagicBands until after you have exchanged for the actual passes.
