Free Kindle Books

For those of you who have Kindles, I don't know if you are aware, but there is a place on Facebook called Hot Coupon World that each night between 6p and 7p that will list over 20 free Kindle books per day.

I have really added to my Kindle selection. I have added recipe books, books on Autism, the book Courageous, and many many others. They have many genres of books from romance to mysteries to children's books and self-help books.

Hot Coupon World occasionally will have Nook books on it. The site will tell you which books are free on that day through Amazon, which makes them 100% legit.

If you go to the Kindle Store and search free Kindle books it will list them for you. Also, I've found if the book is free on Kindle it's usually a free Nook download and vice versa.

There's also an app for iPhone called ebook buffet. Their listing of free books changes daily.

Also there is a blog called the Kindle Fire Department. Google it and follow it and they list free apps and books for the Kindle every day.

I found many of the old classics that I have always wanted to read (or in some cases, reread) and search on Amazon for "free kindle book" and find many of them that are in the public domain.

Our local library also subscribes to OverDrive. They have an app and you can see what your library has by way of kindle or nook books. There are also audio book on there too.

These sites might not be offering free books any longer. Amazon has made some changes that impact how these sites can earn revenue from free book postings and it basically means that sites will no be penalized for listing free books. These two posts from Books on the Knob explain it, but it looks like we're going to have to find freebies on our own from now on.
