Free Internet ?

Is there free internet or not at the WDW Resorts?

We will be arriving on Saturday ( Marathon ) will we have the
FREE internet ?

At AKV right now and that is what the front desk said yesterday.

Glad I brought the phone card.

We were at AKV on the 1st and were told the same vague "coming in the spring" thing. Unfortunately MS was closed that day so we couldn't do anything about it. DH called MS on the 2nd and they assured us that effective 1/1/08 members do get free internet when staying on points. We got online and sure enough were charged for the first day. We called the front desk and they took off the charge.

I'm sorry, but they should get this information out to their employees. No excuse at this point. This is like when I asked DH to check our clothes in the DVC laundry room -- DH forgot what floor the LR was on, and asked no fewer than 3 CMs where it was and none of them had any idea that there was a DVC laundry room or where it might be.

Just got back from BWV. When we checked in I asked the front desk and they said yes, and they referred me to the internet support services and the gal told me it was free. Low and behold my bill came, and I was charged for each day. I called the front desk again and she referred me to someone else, and I explained how I had 2 people had told me it was and she reversed the charges. She said she knew someone from the internet services and they were told it was coming into effect sometime in early spring.

I just returned home from SSR. They DID bill me for internet access. TOday I phoned MS, I was read the "official" memo. Free internet DOES NOT begin until later this year (no specific date). No free internet - no refund
