Free Internet question

Hi,

Is the free internet just for the owners or if we rent points, will we also get free internet?

At the Annual Meeting, I know that Jim Lewis said that it would only be for members and not renters. I wondered how they'd be able to tell who's using it. And does that also mean that if we let DS and his wife use our points to stay at WDW, they don't get free internet? I think this is one of those "try it and let us know" situations about the free internet.
