We have recently booked a holiday in florida for 2012 with virgin holidays from the virgin florida second edition brochure and did this booking by phone. One of the reasons we booked so early was that they were offering free hotel & 15 days parking at gatwick which would have saved us in the region of about £150+ if we had stayed at the Holiday Inn Gatwick like we usually do.
We received a voucher through the post for the deal described above with BOOKFHR.COM, after phoning them today the nice lady at the other end told me that this deal is only valid for 2 adults and 2 childen under 16 and not for 3 adults like in our case. I have read the brochure again and it does say terms and conditions apply see website but having looked on said website i cannot find anything regarding the deal.
Virgin obviously knew that it was 3 adults and i told them that the hotel and parking deal was one of the reasons we were booking so early but they said nothing to us about the deal not applying to us. The lady at bookfhr also said there had been many other people who had also been sent the voucher but it didn't apply to them also.
We feel a bit let down so has anybody got any thoughts on this matter?

We have just received the same voucher. Can it be used at any Gatwick Airport Hotel?, upgraded to meet and greet? or is it totaly inflexible?

I think it can be any hotel, if you go on to BOOKFHR.COM website it tells you what hotels they deal with but i'm not sure if it's possible to upgrade or do meet & greet.

Is the website still not showing any details on the offer (terms & Conditions)? I would print out the full page to clearly display the absence of any links or reference to the terms and restrictions of the offer. Do the regular T&Cs cover this anywhere? If not, print them out. I would send all the pages to VH and demand what was offered to me at the time of booking. That is, if you feel all the hassle is worth £150.

I am amazed in this day and age when the 'regular' family is NOT 2 adults and 2 kids, how travel companies have managed to remain in the dark ages on this. :sad2:

i've had a look at the terms and conditions and there is nothing on there about the "complimentary chill" package:confused3

Your options as far as I see are either to fight it out (print out the T&Cs and the full web page/s with the offer and enter into a dispute with VH, or else to cut your losses and let it go. It is very annoying.

im confused are you just 3 adults with no children or 3 adults and 2 children...?
cant you just tell them your two adults and book and extra room ??
or say 2 adults one child and have the 3rd adult in your room anyhow??
The car parking bit would be the same either way ????:confused3

Definatly annoying on virgins part though x

I assumed the OP was a party just 3 adults. But I suspect that the voucher is linked to the original reservation with VH and is therefore exluding this option from the deal :confused3

If there's clearly nothing in the T&C about it being only for 2 adults and 2 under 16s then I'd get in touch with Trading Standards.
