Looking at the current 25th anniversary deals for DLP and was wondering if anyone knew what level of half board comes with the free dining with package. Would we be able to pay cash to upgrade if we wanted to eat at a particular restaurant or eat from a particular menu that wasn't included? The free dining also includes quick service breakfast inside the park (vs. the dining plan you can pay for that includes the hotel buffet). What can I expect as far as quick service options in the park? Pastries?

Thanks!

We've been trying to figure this out ourselves. It appears that if you book the deal for Sequoia, Newport Bay, or New York you will receive the Half Board Plus plan with the Half Board Standard plan being paired with Cheyenne and Santa Fe. We noticed that when looking at Sequoia Lodge for the offer they gave us a chance to upgrade our Half Board Plus plan to the Full Board Plan.

From the terms and conditions on the official site:

"If you stay at Disney's Davy Crockett Ranch, Disney's Hotel Santa Fe or Disney's Hotel Cheyenne, you will get a meal voucher "Standard" which is valid in: Plaza Gardens Restaurant, Restaurant Agrabah Café, Restaurant des Stars, The Grange at Billy Bob's Country Western Saloon, Chuck Wagon Café, La Cantina, Crockett's Tavern.

If you stay at Disney's Sequoia Lodge, Disney's Newport Bay Club, Disney's Hotel New York, you will get a meal voucher "Plus" valid in the restaurants listed above plus: Blue Lagoon Restaurant, Silver Spur Steakhouse, Café Mickey , The Steakhouse, Manhattan Restaurant, Parkside Diner, Yacht Club, Cape Cod, Hunter's Grill, Annette's Diner, Bistrot Chez Rémy."

In regards to using the meal vouchers at other restaurants:

"Breakfast vouchers are accepted in a selection of restaurants in your Disney Hotel and in the Disney Parks and Disney Villages for the monetary value for breakfast only. Disney's Davy Crocket Ranch is a takeaway breakfast. You can use your lunch or dinner voucher for its face value for brunch (including in the restaurants listed in the section above) or for lunch or dinner in any of the other restaurant in the resort (except Earl Of Sandwich - Planet Hollywood - Rain Forest Café - King Ludwig - Starbucks - McDonald's - Five Guys - Vapiano) for an all-you-can eat buffet or a set menu (starter, main course, dessert) or 'a la carte choice' (starter, main course, dessert) + 1 soft drink."

This will be our first visit to DLP so I can't speak to how any of this works in real life so to speak, or what the breakfast offerings are like in the parks. Hopefully someone else can chime in with some thoughts because we'd like to know too!

I've been looking for information on this also!

I was wondering if we wanted to do Cafe Mickey for the characters breakfast, if we could use it for that or if not whether we could then use the quick service voucher elsewhere/later in the day?

And with a bub I prefer the idea of having breakfast at the hotel rather than at the parks. Might not be such a big deal with early morning hours and 7 months is a long time to know exactly what he's going to be like when we are there, but if it's anything like now, if I put him in a pram before he's fed, you'd think the world was ending!

It was a pleasant surprise getting it in the deal, so I won't be complaining either way! Just curious about the logistics.

Im sure the character breakfast at Cafe Mickey is finishing at the end of this month and being replaced by a character breakfast in the park. If you were meaning to use a lunch/dinner voucher to pay for the character breakfast I don't think this was ever an option

For anyone else contemplating this offer, I just booked it. The free half board meal plan is the half board PLUS. The breakfast vouchers are for Counter Service Breakfast inside the park.

I was thinking of paying for the breakfast out of pocket but then using the quick service voucher for something else (if that was a possibility) but doesn't matter now if it's finishing up!

Thanks to everyone on this thread I booked yesterday through the UK site and I got a great deal. We are staying 3 nights at the Disneyland Hotel in September. My receipt says we get the quick serve in parks for breakfast and premium meal vouchers for lunch or dinner during our stay.
