Free from Starbucks

I was picking up an overpriced latte for myself the other day, when I saw a basket by the door with a "free" sign on it. Free? Starbucks? What could this be? Good sized foil bags of used coffee grounds. Cool! I picked some up for the compost pile, and I think I'll side dress my "Endless Summer" hydrangea too. I like the blue blossoms best. The girl at the register said they do this all summer. Go get some!

I grabbed a couple bags last year when a co-worker told me about this. Each bag is a good size, maybe 4-5 pounds of grounds. Great deal!

I noticed the same thing here at a local Starbucks last summer but it was late in the season, so I didn't bother picking any up. I'll be sure to look next time I stop in.

I had to laugh about your "over-priced latté" comment, nocnurse. We say the same thing here but they ARE good aren't they!!
