Free fridge or Swap fridge? Size?

I've discovered that there is no mini-bar or room fridge included at the value resort (Pop) we are staying at. I've learned that we can request one from the resort for our medications, though. I'm just wondering if we'd be better off getting in on a swap so we could also use it for drinks, etc. Does anybody know if the resort fridges (if available) are the smaller-sized ones (almost a cube shape) compared to the ones that are a bit bigger/rectangular? Thanks for any info.
