Not sure if this has been mentioned but...
Southwest airlines has been running a deal intermittently since late last year. The deal is not as good as it was then but it is still pretty darn good.
If you sign up for a chase visa connected with RR (rapid rewards) account and spend $1,000 in first 3 months you will get "2 free round trip flights". I put it in quotes because you actually get 50,000 RR points which they figure will be good for 2 round trip flights (this can actually work to your benefit - keep reading). I really don't like to encourage the opening of credit card accounts but the benefit heavily outweighs the risk IMO. I do encourage you to read the fine print as always. The deal can be found on southwest website, click on the rapid rewards tab and then promotions.
My wife and I both got a card and thus received a total of 100k points!! We priced a flight to PIT from MCO and it came to 17,000 pts for each RT ticket. We booked our whole family of 5 for "free"! We did have to pay 911 fees plus the annual fee of the two cards for a grand total of $250. That's ridiculous... In a good way!!
