Have a wonderful trip and I will be praying for the bad weather to bypass the Orlando area!

Here are photos of the fridge in our room last week! Half gallons of milk and 2 liters of soda fit in the bottom section of the door. I put water in the freezer section overnight and it had a few ice crystals but did not freeze completely. Silly me, I noticed when I was cleaning it for storage there is a temperature control for the fridge inside- perhaps the temperature could have been colder.

The fridge looks great. :worship: :worship: Quick question though. Is the extention cord in the picture with the fridge or should we plan on bringing one?

Thanks!

I brought the power strip with us so we could plug in all of our cellphones, laptop, etc. in but I did not use it for the fridge, so I didn't leave an extension. There are limited outlets in the room, one beside the bed near the bathroom, one behind the nightstand, one next to the sink and one behind the television which we could not reach. Originally, I had planned to put the fridge near the sink but there were no outlets within reach. The fridge did fit nicely by the bed near the door and there was an outlet on the outside wall (I did not have to wind it behind bed- the outlet is just to the left of the fridge in photo and the black plug is the fridge).

Cool Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for the great pictures the fridge looks great!! I was trying to figure out how much it would hold.

I was trying to remeber if the fridge stared with some cleaning supplies or do I need to bring down cleaning supplies for the fridge?

We can't wait to use it and then pass it on.

I left 6 small packages of lysol wipes in the fridge (I think they were 10 ct.) I only used 1 or 2 of the wipes. When they start getting low, please let the next few swappers know so they can bring some cleaning supplies. Also, the new coffeepot uses #2 cone filters, if you do not want to use the permanent filter included in the box. I left 80 or so filters in the box.

I am anxious to hear from matosfam- I hope they were able to get the fridge without any gliches.

If you are taking 2009 swap entries, count me in....we are at ASMu September 4th to the 13th...I know, I know, planning this early...I just can't help myself....I am sure there is therapy available, but I digress. :lmao: I would love to be in on this, please let me know if I can!

Thanks for sharing the pictures. That is a good looking group at the bottom of your post with goofy.

I will add you to the list and we will remain optomistic that our fridge will remain under our control until your trip!:goodvibes

I understand the early planning, I started more than a year ago for this trip and my entire family asked me if I had started planning the next one yet on the plane ride home.:)

Thank you, the ticker saying my vacation was 10 days ago was making me sad:rotfl: I wish DS17 was in the photo more, but after reviewing the 285 photos I took on this trip, he was making crazy faces, rolling or crossing his eyes in many of the other ones that were close of their faces. :confused3 I may do a trip report after I get my Photopass CD-I don't think he clowned around as much in those photos!

If the rumors and rumbles are true and that they want to stop fridge swaps sitting in luggage services lets try to recruit as many people as we can, and try to incourage face to face swaps. This will mean overlap on both ends of vacations (first day swap/last day swap) I would be willing to give up my spot at the end of sept if it helps us keep the chain going.

Matosfam PM'd me to let me know they have the fridge. She said that they are not using it but keeping it safe and told me she would give me more details later. She also mentioned luggage services lost the bottom of the box. I am a little puzzled because I had placed 2 straps, one each way, around the box to hold the top and bottom together. I didn't think the bottom of the box would last long since it was only about an inch high with styrofoam in each corner to hold the fridge legs. But........I did expect it to still be together when matosfam picked it up just a day or so after I left it for them. :confused3

Hi, I had requested to join the fridge swap for Jan 21-27, 2009, but we decided to switch to a Family Suite at ASMu. So, someone else can have my spot. Thanks for organizing this for everyone, though! Good luck to everyone on their trips! :goodvibes
