Free Fall into All Stars Fridge Swap- Fridge is Lost!!!!!

I still have to hear from jvorhis to see if they are still interested in the swap. If not, we only have 6 swappers to share the expense. Hopefully, we will get some more people on board soon. I figured the smaller fridge divided by six and it is about the same cost as the larger divided by eight. I guess we will play it by ear- I'm not a patient planner.........

jvorhis also contacted me and is still interested in the swap. She is a little concerned with how to get the fridge from ASSports to ASMovies upon her arrival. I think luggage services will help (with a tip, of course) or she can push a luggage cart from one resort to the other to pick up the fridge. Any other ideas?

That would be great. You are making me wish I came down a day early!!!! Maybe I could convince dh that I NEED to be there to get the fridge from you! However I believe it wouldnt be worth the extra charge on the plane tickets.


Any justification to get to Disney earlier though I'll try!

I think we have nine swappers which makes the cost for the larger fridge only $13 dollars each! If we can get a few more to share, our costs will go down even lower!

I contacted eeyoregon to get some tips for fridge swapping. Here are some of her suggestions:

We leave index cards and tape in the fridge and it is the responsibility of each swapper to securely label the fridge with the next swappers info even if swapping in person. I provide the info to each swapper before they leave via email or PM.

My best advice is to decorate your box/fridge with something unique. WRITE DIRECTELY ON THE FRIDGE ITSELF in sharpee, a contact name and phone number and the words "If lost or unclaimed please call:"
Tell your swappers to be persistant! I have had more than one swapper be told NO it's not here. The swapper would then describe it in detail and say Mrs. XXX left it on XXXX date with my name on it. Sure enough it was "found".
Also, if there is any language barrier, ask for a manager. And lastly TIP TIP TIP!!! Even if it's only $1...the swappers are getting a great deal for the length of their stay so they need to be kind to the castmembers that are storing these fridges for us. Lastly, when leaving the fridge for the next swapper it is a great idea to go to the registration desk and ask the castmember to put a note in the computer for the next guest. "Hi. Can you please put a note on Jennifer Jones reservation letting her know that an item was left for her at the bell desk today?" When Jennifer checks in, the note will pop up and can have help in the event that the fridge is missing.

Yes, and if we leave it in storage we need to have the next swappers name, reservation number, etc. on the fridge box and if possible, leave a message with the front desk to flag the reservation with a package at bell services. We are all attempting to put in around $13.00 each to share the costs if there are nine of us, it will drop to closer to $12 if I can get 10 of us but the $13 that will allow me a little extra to leave some cleaning wipes, packaging tape, etc. with the fridge so I think I will leave it alone if that is okay with everyone.
