Have you heard anything yet from the delivery service on the cost of the fridge?

No, I never received a message back from them! I am going to try to call this week to schedule a delivery time and I will ask then. I wanted to find out the local price before deciding which route to use.

I found out the local prices for the refrigerators at the Kissimmee Walmart. The 1.7 cubic foot is $66.47 and the 2.7 cubic foot size is $98.88. It should cost $10 or so for the pickup and a few dollars for tax. If we divide those amounts by the eight of us that makes it just about $10 for the smallest fridge and $13.60 for the larger one. Do you think we should go ahead and plan for one and hope we can get others to join in to fill the gaps later?

I would go with the bigger one, it's only a few dollars difference and the more room the better! lol
I'm all for going ahead and getting one. At least we all will have it for our trips I'm sure more people though will sign up.

I will also accept paypal if you want to pay a little extra for the paypal fee (approximately 80 cents). Everyone, please let me know as soon as possible, because I want to place my grocery order within the next couple of weeks.

Are you willing to pay knowing there is a long break between you and the previous swappers? I think if we all pay for it some others may join in for free and fill in the gaps. I have noticed some of the others swaps have asked "free" swappers for a deposit which is returned when the fridge is passed on successfully to the next swapper. That may be a good idea to help make sure the fridge makes it to you. Let me know what you think!
