Free Double stroller swap ~ Swap Closed, stroller is gone

I am interested in participating. I have a couple of questions though.
How small does the stroller fold up to be? Can it be taken on the Disney Buses?

Our trip is Oct. 30 through Nov. 5 and we are staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort. Do we pick up the stroller from the previous swappers resort? Where do we leave the stroller when we check out?

Is the stroller okay for a 5 year old and an 8 year old? Both of them are under 75 pounds.

Yes it will fit on Disney buses, yes you can use it for an 8 and 5yr old. My 5yr old is 49" tall and fits just fine, to give you a height reference.

The stroller does not fold 'small'. It's a jogging stroller and folds in half and will require someone to hold it on the buses.

As for collecting the stroller. The previous person will have the stroller either dropped to CBR or sent through bell services. Best case scenario is face to face handoff but that isn't always possible. You will do the same for the next swapper.

This sounds good. We will have our van so I can pick up from someone and deliver to another resort after our trip. My dates are Oct. 30 through Nov. 5 we drive so we ill arrive in the afternoon Oct. 30 and leave early Nov. 5.

I replied at the top of page 13 but never heard back from you. Since this is no longer a paid swap, the condition of the stroller cannot be guaranteed by Jan though.

5/8 Update: Well we are back from an exhausting trip to the World. Some notes on the stroller.

The front wheel is starting to be wobbly again. Please make sure to keep it out of the trolley tracks on Main Street as that just makes it worse. They do lay down wooden fillers at cross sections to make to flat across so if you see those spots filled in try to use that area to cross. Also try to keep it on smooth ground when traveling around the parks. It's not really designed to go 'off road' on all the different stone walkways around the Magic Kingdom. The stroller does not fit opened through that gates of either Kingdom but does fit through at Epcot and Hollywood Studios. For the Kingdoms you will need to lift it over the gate, close it, or remove one back wheel and maneuver through (best choice for sleeping kiddos).

Very important safety issue with the stroller. I do not know how long ago this happened but one of the pieces that holds the stroller together has been wrenched out of place. If you do not notice and correct it when opening the stroller it will still stay together but you are putting your children at risk of stroller collapse. It appears as if the stroller has been used multiple times with this piece out of place due to the crushing of the hard covers to both ends. I will get a close up picture of which piece you need to check before opening and I will call Instep to see about getting a replacement piece sent out. It will need a phillips head screwdriver to install.

Other that the one piece that needs fixing the stroller is in pretty good shape. It does have some Disney grime on it but that's to be expected with so many little feet in and out of it all day. There are a few grease type spots on it as well but nothing terrible. All the accessories are still with it and looking good.

Please keep this thread updated to the condition of the stroller, esp the front wheel. If you do not do a face to face hand off with the next swapper, it would be great if you could include a little note with the stroller about any issues you found.

5/11 update:
I spoke with Instep and they said that piece is part of the frame and not replaceable. So I need to call the current swapper and have her take a pic of the damaged piece and a pic of the whole stroller as well as some other info and they will see about replacing the whole thing.

If you actually want to see what piece I'm talking about ironically the stock photo of the stroller linked on the first page of this thread (click larger pic when opened) shows the exact damage I'm talking about.

The metal frame where it meets the metal bar that connects to the wheel axles shows that light gray piece wrenched out of place and the support bar sitting on nothing.

So I will try to get ahold of the current swapper by cell phone and hopefully she can get me that info and email me pics of the stroller and damage as soon as she gets back on the 14th.

ok, the old stroller needs to be Fed Ex'd back to me asap and then I'll send it along to Instep. Then they will be able to replace the stroller. I'm going to buy a new one right now and send it down to WDW as soon as I get nurseintraining's contact info.

Just to see if anyone is paying attention here the model we have is out of stock until the end of July. Which effects nothing since I'm just going to store it until we need it anyway. But they have some other model that is red and grey that they can replace the stroller with.

So if anyone has an opinion on the colors just let me know. LOL

I think a light colored fabric would be a lot cooler in the hot Florida sunshine.

well this is the first I saw of this post. Weird. It wasn't here even just a few mins ago!

I'll mark you down for those dates. I do need confirmation that you are taking the stroller for that time.

You'll need to contact the swapper before you and after you and get their info. The swapper before you is suppose to send the stroller to the resort you are staying at (if on-site) and you collect it from bell services. When you are done you bring it back to bell services and send it on to the next swappers resort (if on-site). You must make sure all accessories stay with the stroller though and are tagged to get to the next person.
