Free Disney Visa 5x7 picture-new exp. date on coupon

Hi, just a quick note that the coupon you get for the free 5x7 at the Disney Visa Meet 'n Greet in DCA now has a new expiration date. The previous coupons expired Sept. 2008 (I think the 27th). The new ones I got yesterday expire on 12/31/2010! Good news as it looks like the promotion will be running for a long time.

(ADDED-on 6/11/08 the coupon has the old date of 9/27/2008 on it. But the CM did tell me that the program has been renewed for 5 years!)

And yes, I was able to use my coupons to purchase pictures other than the Meet 'n Greet pictures. I've done this several times already. Inc. ones from DL. But I still used the coupon at DCA.

Also, I was speaking to one of the CM there and she said Mickey and Goofy are no longer there. We saw them there about 2 weeks ago. The current schedule it Chip 'n Dale (1st 1/2 hour), Pluto (next 1/2 hour) and then (I think) Chip 'n Dale return.

She said if we want Mickey and Goofy to return we need to let Disney know. So I'm spreading word.

I did not think you needed a coupon - I thought you just had to show your card. Can someone verify what you need - coupon or just the card?

Also, is it one per day or 1 per trip?

You just need to show your card to the CM at the Meet 'n Greet. You can get one coupon, per day, per account. The event at DCA only is open for hte first 1-1/2 hours. that DCA is open.

No more Mickey and Goofy!! Oh man that stinks, and just Pluto by himself! Geesh! Oh well, it's free so I guess can't complain to much. We had Goofy and Mickey the last time we did it.

It was a lot of fun too, we had them to ourselves and they spent quite a bit of time with us.

I love the HM picture, gotta get us one of those!

Yep, it did move.It's now located next to the Monster's Inc. ride, to the right. It's between MI and the now closed restaurant. It's actually a little tough to find (they do this on purpose). Look for the water tower with Hollywood studios and it's right below it. Here's the sign

The characters are behind the gas station mock up.

There's a CM standing there and if there's a wait they'll direct you to have a seat and they'll call you when it's your turn. You can take as long as you want interacting with the characters.

This was fun! As you can see by where they take the pix it's tricky to get it taken without a bunch of people behind you getting in HM line. In fact, we tried to do this again yesterday but first the PP equipment wasn't working right and then he had a line waiting.

We actually had one of the PP who was stationed by the Rivers of America take us over to HM to take this one. There were 2 PP Photogs there, one taking the Hook pix, and one taking Mickey or Minnie seated next to you and the HM ghosts. He took several with the ghosts. One waving, one hitching, one really scared, and one silly scared. Since we left for the day about an hour or so after the pix were taken, at first the ghosts weren't there. Also, the 2 scared pix didn't show up. The CM at PP location was able to call up someone and they added in the ghosts after about 10 min.

You get the "coupon" when you are at the Meet & Greet. In order to get into the Meet & Greet, you show your Disney Visa. Once the CM Photographer takes your picture, they hand you the coupon to pick up your free 5x7. It lists where you can pick it up and all the details.

As long as it's a completely separate account you could get two a day. They'll probably check the account numbers to be sure. But yes, you go in the morning, they take pictures, and hand you the coupon!

Correct-that's the way it's supposed to work but in reality they just briefly look at the cards. My DM and my cards have different designs so that's enough for them. And yeah-2 coupons each time we go!
