When does Disney run the free dinning promo or is it a thing of the past? I have a family of seven and boy would this be a blessing. Thanks for the help.

The mousesavers website has the historical discounts all laid out for you. I can't post a link to it because I am still a newbie so you will need to look it up on google. Hope this helps.

I have a family of 5, so free dining is a real blessing for us also. I am not sure we could go every year without it- we have taken advantage of it every year since 06. I can tell you that is usually always falls late Aug- around the 2?th of September. I have seen it for weeks here and there through the end of the year also- but it seems to change. It has sprung up in jan-feb also, and I believe this is the first year it has been offered 2 weeks in March, which we are taking advantage of this year. So my best advice is be flexible because it is always times that kids are not typically off school. This trip it saved us almost $2000- so it is certainly the best discount for our family-by far

It's offered at various points throughout the year. No one knows for sure when/if it will be offered this year until Disney releases it. They've been known to change dates, but the historical data link provided can give you a general idea. The only time that I know is pretty standard is late August through the end of September, and January. Those are statistically the lowest crowd seasons.

Disney will offer it whenever they feel that not enough rooms are being booked during a specific time period.

Add me to the list of those wishing they had a free DDP crystal ball!! Like the PP's have said, traditionally, it's been offered the end of August through late September-- that's happened for something like 7 years! BUT, the past two years, they have started offering it at other times-- we went in December of 2010 on free dining. So, the safest bet is sometime in the Month of September, but there's always a chance that they'll offer it at other times in the year, too. Clear as mud, right :thumbsup2?!! --Katie
