Free Dinning code question

Has anyone ran the number to see if the Free Dinning code that people are getting in their email is a better deal than the Free Dinning that is open to everyone?Just wondering why they sent these codes to people when it's open to everyone unless some how they made the code a better deal.I know some people are getting codes,pins for other deals but this one is for Free Dinning and the dates are the same as everyone (8-16 to 10-3) and of course tickets (I would think a base ticket) and they list a price that's for a value with a family of 2 adults,1 jr,1child.Just wondering without having to go to WDW site and checking.Thanks

Some people got FD codes a before it was open to the public for the same dates, but what people are getting now are different dates. I personally received one and it is for Oct and Nov, not Aug and Sept. No, it's not a better deal if you are staying at a Value Resort as they are only giving the QS plan. Moderate resorts get the regular dining plan.

We are already booked for Oct 1-8th for 2 rooms at POFQ with Free Dinning and I got the code in my email a few days ago and not before it was open to everyone,that's what I didn't understand.I really wish I'd get one for something different (different dates,free gift card,etc) other than what we already have just in case we could get either a better deal or maybe another trip later this year.I didn't understand why send us the code for the same thing we've had booked since it came out for everyone.Thanks

Now I think I understand why you are saying. Free dining "technically" ends Oct 3 to the general public. They way it works is if you are checked in BY Oct. 3, you get it for your entire trip. Now the new offer I received for FD starts Oct. 2 and goes to Nov 24. This is not open to the general public. Disney just made the 2 offers overlap a few days.

If the email you received has an end date of Oct 3, are you sure the email you received wasn't just a general email? Does it say Use Pin.....

It's more than likely one that eveyone (or just about everyone) got because its a code not a pin.No one in my family ( all adults ) have gotten any email pins or postcards,etc for years.So,I figure this one went out to just about everyone.Maybe one day we will get a pin that's just for us.Thanks again.

Our pin code was good for fd was good into December. We took advantage of it.
