Free dining

Its been a while since l have done free dining. If free dining starts part way through your trip can you add it on?

No. Your check-in date has to fall during a free dining period. It's 100% based on when you check in.

Your free dining can extend past a free dining expiration if your check-in date fell during the FD period.

FD also had to have been booked months ago, during the promotion...which ended in July.

As DisBuckMan said, your check-in date has to be during the FD dates. If FD starts in the middle of your stay, you can do a split stay and get FD for the last days of your trip, but that does get a little complicated since the tickets have to be attached to the FD part of the stay, and you'll need to activate them early. Then there is the possibility of having to move rooms or even resorts to get the FD.
