A post earlier said that free dining for that time will be released late Spring or early Summer. I'm waiting ,too! I so want to go this Fall.

Solid chance, and we should start hearing solid rumors of dates in July. Last year the offer went public on Aug. 1. We knew the dates weeks beforehand. Good luck!

I'm praying too With this being our first trip, I want my kids to experience lots of character meals - which can EASILY be accomplished if we can eat for free!

We have booked for the first week in December. IF history repeats itself (HOPEFULLY) it will be offered. Free dining was offered that same time for the past three years. Keep your fingers crossed...We can only afford it if we eat free!

If you're paying full price for your resort, then it is free. If you've booked with any kind of discount (like AAA) then you'll have to make up the difference. I remember vividly my first experience with "free" dining: My AAA rep called and said, "Good news! I've changed your reservation to include free dining!" Me: "Free food! Yay!" Agent: "We'll need a check for the additional $255 by tomorrow." Me:

Free dining ended up costing me half of what the full-price dining package would have cost to add on. So no, not free but a 50% discount, which was pretty good.

It's free if you were paying full price, anyone with Florida resident, aaa, pass holder, dvc or military wouldn't be able to combine the discounted room rate and free dining.
