Free Dining?

Just wondering if anyone knows if Free dining will be offered this summer? and If so when will be available to book?...

They already ran a free dining offer for this summer (after August 19th) but it had to be booked by December 20, 2010. The information for that offer was as follows:

"2010 and 2011 Free Dining Dates – Book a Walt Disney World Package
Disney Free Dining is available for guests arriving during the following dates:

2010 Valid Dates: Aug. 15 – Oct. 7, Oct. 22 – Oct. 28, Nov. 12 - Nov. 18, Nov. 27 – Dec. 2 and Dec. 10 – Dec. 21, 2010.

2011 Valid Dates: Jan. 1 – Jan. 5, Jan. 9 – Jan. 13, Jan. 21 – Feb. 3, Feb. 25 – March 3, May 27 – June 2 and Aug. 19 – Sept. 29, 2011.

A limited number of packages is available for this special offer. Guests must book their Magic Your Way vacation package with Free Dining vacation package by Dec. 20, 2010. Visit Walt Disney World Resort or call 407-W-DISNEY (407-939-7675) to book. Guests should call 407- WDW-DINE (407-939-3463) or use the online Advance Dining Reservations to secure times for dining at table-service restaurants.

I am wondering the samething as well! not for past bookings, just future bookings

Well it sure would be nice. They usually come up with a new special at the end of March and then another one in July. I honnestly doubt we'll se anything for this summer with free dining unless they have little package booked. If free dining comes back, I would think it would be for fall/winter dates only but I could be wrong

Disney has been changing up the regular Free Dining the past two years.

It would just be a guess at this point if they will offer Free Dining again for August and September. I think it will depend on how full the resorts are. If they are looking empty they will try to fill them with some deal.

I am thinking that they will not have another free dining offer this year since they already had the offer.

Of course if they find they have a lot of empty rooms you may see it, but I know a lot of people who took advantage of it.

I'm thinking Disney might bring the free dining offer back. I really don't think the resorts filled (due to free dining) as much as they did last year.

Last year there were so many posts from people saying they could not get rooms on the dates they wanted. When free dining was released last May, it filled up fast! Lots of people were getting upgraded from POP as well.

I also wonder if that is why Disney switched it and released free dining earlier. Perhaps they realized most people were use to the offer coming out in spring and would miss the Dec 20th book-by completely. So this way Disney would not have overbooked values and CSR.

I have booked a package with a pin code for a reduced price for the room for Aug 21-27. I hope they offer free dining as it would be cheaper with the free dining than the pin code for the room. We will still have the dining plan but it would be nice if it was free.

I think that it's almost certain that nothing will come out until the current room only discount expires. Also, with those dates covering the same FD period my feeling is that the next promo will be for after Sept 30th.

Never before have they offered a promo for more than 3 years running. FD has been going since 2005. There were changes to it last year and changes again this year.

I only said that because Kmmum wants to know when to book "free dining" again, if there was going to be any. The post that StitchsCousin post was regarding something in the past!
As for DisneyRsh, are you saying April 1st they are offering free dining again?

No one knows when or if it will be offered again. Everyone has offered the info that they do have and that includes saying, basically...sorry you just missed it. I have to agree that StitchsCousin's post was not useless...most people are curious to see the details even if it's over.

That's the $64,000 question isn't it?!?! How can anyone outside of Disney know?

I imagine they wait and see what the bookings are like..I am going in a couple of weeks and it took some juggling to get where and when I wanted.

Hopefully they will offer it again for August-September. I was there last August and had the info but I didn't book because I didn't think I'd be going again this August. Now I wish I had booked it anyway because we are thinking about it again.

Oh well, on a much brighter note, we are leaving Thursday for 12 nights and we are getting free dining in February!
