when you go to disney using vacation club points, are you eligible for free dining when that time comes around?

I wonder if they would ever consider a points per person method of paying for the DDP?
Free dining really isn't free.
We thought about buying DVC but free dining is what has stopped us for now. In UK for 3 years running they have offered 42% off at Saratoga plus free dining which is a great deal. The annual dues plus the cost of the DDP work out way more expensive than paying for this deal. Therefore absolutely no incentive to buy DVC at the moment. Have booked again for next year, 3 weeks at SSR in August.
I have met alot of unhappy UK DVC owners who understandly are upset about buying into DVC a few years ago and now see these special offers.
) - and, despite having APs and a TiW card - we think that Disney dining is often over-rated and over-priced.I still feel as a DVC member we should be offered at least discounted dining plan as a perk. There's no discount on tickets. Also - what about when they offer buy three nights get 3 or 4 free etc? If as a DVC member I'm staying that long - shouldn't I get some points deducted off my stay? Anyone have any of the same feelings?
