We are planning on going to WDW 12/14-12/21 but don't have a Disney Visa. Would we be able to apply and then use it to get free dining? Just wondering if it would be worth it to get the card because we currently have Alaska Airlines Visa

I don't see why you couldn't do that! As long as you pay the trip with a Disney Visa! PLUS I had my husband sign up to because for 1st time applicants, they will also send you a $50 Disney gift card!!

If you apply for the disney visa throught the disney website, you can get instant credit and use it toward your disney vacation. 0% interest for 6 months+ FD code...

my wife applied for the disney visa the other day and we were told we could call back after we received the card to try, so there is hope. we booked for 12/13-12/19 with the fall room discount, paid for dining and still saved over $340 on a moderate for 6 nights (thats 37 or 38% off the room if my math is right, almost as good as free dining).

the visa package may save us a little more, but when we booked they told us it would only be about $40 and we would have to split our ressie to a single night for 12/13 and then the visa package for 12/14-12/19, may be a hassle.

You can get free dining with a new Visa account if you book a package as soon as you are approved for you new Visa account.

Just book a package as soon as you are approved (don't close the browser window). If you don't close the window you can pay or deposit using your new disney account.

There is no selection for "free dining" while you are booking the package.

What you do is book a regular package, pay/deposit using the Disney Visa and then call them to get the free dining added. They will see that you paid using your new account and the discount will be available to you. If you close the browser window, you might not have access to your account until the new card arrives, but if you book the package right after being approved, your Disney Visa will show up as an option during the booking payment process.

Hope the info helps. Now where did I leave that ship?pirate:
