free dining timing question

is the free dining usually only offered during the month of september? or is it ever offered during another time period? thanks!

This is the 3rd year it has been offered in Aug-Sept. It has never been offered at any other time of year.

It is the best discount Disney offers for guests staying with 4 people to a room in Moderate or Value resorts. If you are a party of two and stay Moderate or Deluxe some of the room only discounts result in a better savings, and those came up a few times this year.

Last year the dining plan ended later in the last week of September. I booked a trip planning on the last week in Sept for this year and missed it by 2 days! It is not worth the money to change the airlines tickets just for DDP.

So instead we are staying in a 1 br villa at OKW and we bought the plan. Oh well. It is still a trip to Disney.

Sorry, the booking window has closed for this offer. There is another discount code out right now. Check the resorts board, "codes and rates".

Like everyone else says, the "free dining" promotion usually comes out in April for stays in August - September, the prime hurricane season months .

It's usually first announced to Disney VISA card holders, then everyone else. However, if you check in on the last day it's offered - for instance, September 29th this year - you get it even if your stay goes into October.

I had free dining two years ago during Super Soap Weekend so it was offered in November that year. So you never know, it could happen again.
