We got a little fooled. I thought AK on Sunday the 13th (I guess the last day of Summer in FLA--before kids start school next day) was one of the least crowdest I have witnessed? I guess the next started the value season and free dining plan. We of course made reservations when we booked but schedules change. You are at Spaceship Earth at 5p with a 515p back in Germany or so. We called Disney dining or checked with Concierge at Beach Club a number of times to see what was available and very very limited availability. On a non-park day we were offerred a 4p at Raglan Road or not until about 9p.
I even noticed all the table service meals at MK were all booked up. Epcot had a sign in front of guest services saying all lunch/ dinner times were all full.
We ate at Spoodles since we couldnt get anything at Epcot and the waiter said it is usually maybe 50% DDP but it has been close to 90% with the free DDP.
FYI: if on this plan and havent done so--Highly Recommend booking something before heading to Disney.
