I have a reservation for Free Dining in September - staying at the Fort Wilderness Cabins. I extended the stay for two extra days at the beginning of the stay. My understanding of Free Dining is that you get the benefit for each night's stay. Does this mean that we will have the free dining for an extra 2 days?

If the 2 extra nights were added to your existing FD package, you will have FD for those extra nights. If you booked a separate reservation, then FD would not apply to those 2 nights.

Good information. The WDW rep linked the reservation, but they are separate reservation numbers. Is this something I should call about?

And if your checkin date falls with in the FD dates.

Having two different reservations makes it sound to me like the FD is not included for the added days.

What does it say under "My Reservations and Tickets" under MDE for the new reservation? If it doesn't say MYW Pkg + Free Dining, it's not included for those two days. If that's the case, I'd call.

As the pp said, since you have 2 separate reservations, FD most likely isn't included for the first 2 nights. If FD was available for those 2 nights (and those dates were included in the FD promo like a pp mentioned), those nights would have been added to your existing reservation without the need for a 2nd reservation. Reservations are usually linked when people have to book separate reservations, but book the same resort & room type. This sometimes helps with keeping the same room (in your case, cabin) and not having to move, which is probably why the CM linked them (to have the possibility of you not having to change cabins after 2 nights).

You definitely should call and ask if you got FD on those 2 days. If there was availability for the FD they should have given it to you. However if they didn't have FD availability but still had rooms available they probably just added 2 extra days this way. I'm guessing the latter is what happened in your case, but either way they should have been very clear on this over the phone when you booked. Looks like either they forgot to give you the good news, or didn't want to deal with you being upset and passed it along to the next agent you have to call. Either way they messed up.
