Free Dining Question

My wife and I are school employees and have a break starting October 3rd and continuing through October 14th. Since October 3rd is the last day listed as possible free dining, would we still be able to use the promotion if we checked in on that date and continued our vacation into the following week? I read somewhere that this was possible. Any help would be appreciated.
