Free Dining Question

I booked 3 nights with the free dining and 1 day base tickets for 4 adults. My question is this....we all have AP's now and I thought I would just save the 1 day tickets for future use....but being the thrifty soul I am I got to thinking that maybe I would upgrade the 1 day tickets to 7 day passes for later use.
Can I do that after we arrive? If I do that and we do not use the tickets on this visit I am assuming they would be good until 14 days after they were activated even if that was a year or so later??

Oh...and do the tickets have to be upgraded on this trip or could I save them until next year and upgrade them then when we were ready to use them??

You can add days whenever you want, be it now, when you get there or next year.

Just remember that if you wait to upgrade them on your next trip, the upgrade could cost more if ticket prices go up. (That's even assuming that you get the gate price for the tickets bought today.)

Thanks for the info....is there any reason they would not allow me the gate price I paid now if I wait to upgrade them in the future??
