Free Dining Question???

Ok...I feel kind of stupid but how is it that so many are getting free dining offers?? What are these PINS everyone is getting emailed to them and how do I get us on the list to recieve one??

We are in the system and have received PINS for last year's late fall Free Dining and this Year's Kids Play, Stay and Dine Free. We are not able to use either. I think being in the computer from previous trips and being registered on the website (I booked our the first family trip on the web site in 2007). Has helped us. Both of those PINS came to us via US Mail, I have yet to get an internet PIN.

Free Dining may be offered to the public this year and it may not be. The 4/3 and promotion is a good one as it included 3 days free tickets and a free room for 3 nights. If you know when you want to go and when you can afford to go book a trip and make changes if another suitable promotion comes your way.

For us, the economy and having a child in private school means no family WDW trip right now. I am doing a solo this weekend, but its room only, no parks. Just some on site food and bit of golf. I really needed a winter and work break and Orlando and Magical Express worked out to be a good deal.

I'm afraid PINs are totally random. I go to WDW 3-5 times a year and am signed up on every site I can think of. I also do all the surveys if I am asked in the park, or if I received one at home. I order those DVDs every year for WDW, Disney Cruiseline, and DVC. I have never received a PIN. My mom lives with me and has only ever been to WDW three times (when I took her). She got a 40% off PIN a few months ago for several dates in 2009. She has no desire to go back to WDW, but when I called to see if I could use the PIN (since she lives with me), I was told no. It was her PIN, not mine.

Pins are a random thing. I have gone on 21 trips over the years, am signed up on Disneyworld.com, order the vacation DVd etc.No codes. My sil goes 2x per year every year and is a DVC owner and gets them all the time.

Thanks! Now I don't feel so 'un-included'. I am registered on a bunch of sites too. I have been to Disney World every other year for the past ten years and about 20 times with my family when I was a child. We used the 4/3 deal this trip coming up so I do feel really happy with that, I know we saved allot. I just didn't want to miss out on anything special I may have been able to be a part of!

I will keep my fingers crossed for some dining offers, or any special offers,to come my way soon!!

watch these boards for news if the Free Dining is offered again. Last year, it was early April...first to Disney Visa cardholders, then a few days later it was offered to the general public. Didn't need a pin number for that! (We get tons of "junk" email from Disney, but never a pin code offer.)
