I though that I had posted this yesteday, but now I can't find it,...so.

Is free dining a regular offering? I remember seeing a thread earlier in the year with some debating on wether or not it was to be offered again, and it was.

Is the free dining offered on a regular basis?

I think I saw a post that stated it started after the 2004 hurricanes and has been back each fall since.

You just can't book the free dining when you book using DVC points. They are for cash reservations only.

It has been around for several years.... I expect it will make another show next fall.

However, remember it's NOT really "Free" you have to book a full price room. There are posters on the resorts board who found good discounts for deluxe resorts and figure that "Free dining" will actually cost them more then keeping thier discount and just buying meals!

And it seems the time frame to book it keeps shrinking. They keep subtracting days at the beginning and end of the time frame. It's basically just a plan to fill rooms when they otherwise would be vacant because kids have gone back to school and hurricane season is in its prime.

As this isn't a DVC related question, I am moving it to the Restaurants board.
