Free Dining Question

Sorry if this has been asked before. DH has AP, rest of us do not. I would like to take advantage of the free dining plan this time around for our August trip. Is it true that he should get a 1 day base ticket to qualify for the dining plan? And for the rest of us we would get regular park hoppers? How is it determined how many days of dining credits you get? Is it by the number of nights you stay at the hotel or number of park ticket days? Thanks for all your help. Last year we just used AP discounts and I didn't study all the rules.

Everyone in the package has to get the same ticket type, so everyone would get a 1 day base ticket and then you can buy hoppers separately if you wanted.

The dining is determined by the number of nights you are staying, it doesn't matter what tickets you get.

Hi! Everyone in your party has to get the same ticket. So, everyone needs to get a one day base ticket. Your husband can just keep his for the future. The rest of you can upgrade the ticket after you get there to whatever you want.
The dining credits are given per night's stay. So each person will get 1 TS, 1 CS, and 1 snack credit per day. You can use them however you want, as they are pooled together. One day you could eat 2 CS meals and eat 2 TS meals another day. Use them however you wish. Some places will require two credits. You can click on this link to check it out:
