Free Dining Promotion Question

As you can see from my signature, DH and I are to be in lovely WDW in two weeks but he's ARMY and there is talk they will not let him take vacation then. (In the ARMY there are only certain weeks you can vacation Christmastime, 4th of July. He will not know until the end of this week if he'll be allowed to go or have to wait until September). Is the Free Dining only through the DIS board sponsor or can you book it on the WDW website? I tried earlier today and the package on the website included dining but it was charged and not "free" and there was no where to put in that promotion code. I just want to know if I do have to reschedule we can at least recoup some of the fees with free dining. Thanks for any of your help!

The deal is through/from Disney, not any Travel Agency (but you can book it through any Disney Specialist or really any TA, or directly through Disney).

You can call Disney - this will reduce or eliminate any confusion.

You can go back to the website and (at least at this moment), either click on the display at the top of the page - Goofy's on the left, there's a family in the background and the text reads
"Disney Cooks up a Special Deal
Vacation Packages Include a Free Special Offer!
Limited Time Only - Learn More"
Or, under "Magical Vacations packages & offers" click on the underlined text "Specially priced end of summer vacation deal with Disney Dining Plan. Book by June 25th!"

There is not free dining now. The free dining promotion starts for stays Aug 20 thru Sept 30. I assume you are talking about your possible September stay. Some resorts may also be sold out of the free dining rooms. I am not sure if every room is available. At one time I could not get value standard room, but a week later they opened more rooms and I was able to switch. good luck. also you have to buy atleast a one day ticket and make it a package.
