Free Dining Plan - Still Available?

I just heard about this free dining plan on the boards. At first I assumed that you could only get this with a new reservation, but then I heard people saying they added it on to an existing reservation. Is it still possible to do this or has the offer expired? I am leaving 8/22.

Call your TA or Disney NOW. You can add it to your current package, if it is still available at the resort you are staying at. There are a limited number of packages available. Just make one little call to find out! Good Luck. Let us know if you were able to get it!

I called Disney tonight and I was able to get the FREE dining plan added to my package. I can't believe it! I have this board to thank - I never would have heard about it otherwise and even if I did, I'd think I was too late. Now we'll eat like royalty - better bring shorts with elastic waists!

I just added it to my reservation on Friday (we arrive August 20 - and added the dining as of the next day til the end of our reservation) and didn't have to change a thing. Same resort, same dates everything and kept and added to all my ADR's too!! But definately call your TA right away (or call yourself if you booked on your own). Hope it works out for you. They seem to be opening more rooms for the special. I was forced to wait until DS17 started school to see if he could take three days off. (That let us arrive there on the last day of the free dining.) We wanted Pop Century, but by the time I got the OK, only preferred rooms were available, so I booked All Star Music to save the extra cost.

I had been checking availability online every day in hopes of a cancellation. Even though I know we would like ASMu, we were going to spend one day just hanging out at the resort and I really thought Pop would be more fun. When I did my daily check yesterday, the Pop standard rooms were available, so I switched my reservation. Since it was more than 45 days before checkin, there was no fee. I checked again later just out of curiousity and they were still showing standard rooms available.

I get to join in some of that fun too. My ADRs were all taken care of at 90 days by my wonderful TA. Yesterday my parents decided to join us for the last part of our trip. They were able to book free dining at POP. It's their first trip & want me to take care of everything. Of course, they want to eat with us, so it's time to try to figure out where there's still available ADRs this late. At least we have a month more than poohs_hunny - Good luck poohs_hunny! Luckily, I made ADRs back in May, one for every day of our trip. I planned on going to these restaurants anyway. Now I just don't have to pay!

I doubt if more rooms were added to the free dining plan. Probably what happened is people booked the plan, then cancelled when it came time to pay for the package. I know alot of people will book HOPING that they can go, and then don't get to for any number of reasons.
