We were on the free dining plan & I loved it! It was so nice not having to worry about budgeting for meals. We were never hungry as there was so much food! Here is a brief recap of the places we ate at & the cost if I were paying.

Saturday Oct. 1st –

Supper - Chef Mickeys

We had seatings for 8:20pm. We were about 10 minutes late, but were seated within 15 minutes. I was given a slip for a picture, but we never had our picture taken. Not sure what happened here. The character interaction was wonderful, we all enjoyed this. But it was really hectic & very noisy. The food was nothing to rave about & we decided this would be our last meal here for dinner. If I was paying for this I would have been really disappointed. The dessert bar was pretty good. We will try breakfast though on one of our next trips. Total cost for 2 adults & 1 child was $80.16.

Sunday Oct. 2cd

Breakfast – WCC

We had late seatings for 10:40am. I really enjoyed the meal here & loved the antics going on around us. Our server was a little tame, but that was ok. The boys thought the place was to noisy, imagine that lol I got the all you can eat skillet & the boys shared French toast with bacon. They also received a bowl of fresh fruit with this. For drinks they had shakes, which were very good :) I did not care for the sausage gravy, but everything else was very good especially the breakfast potatoes, yummy! Total cost for 2 meals was $50.81.

Dinner – Trails End Buffet

We had seatings for 7:40pm. It was very busy when we arrived & was told it might be an hour. We were seated within 20 minutes at the most. We had eaten here on a previous trip & had enjoyed it. This time was no different. I think the food here is great. Our server was wonderful & kept our drinks filled. Riley had the peel & eat shrimp, chicken, & mac & cheese. Garrett had chicken, mashed potatoes, ribs, & vegetable soup. I had a salad, chicken, mac & cheese, & apple crisp with vanilla sauce. The dessert was very good! I know I tried other things, but I cannot think of them right now :goodvibes Total cost for 2 adults & 1 child $51.00.

Monday Oct. 3rd

Breakfast - Cape May Café

We had breakfast seatings for 10:30am. We were seated quickly after checking in & our server was very pleasant. Again the character interaction was wonderful. We all enjoyed our meal here & found plenty of different items to choose from. I did not care for the sausage gravy here either  The omelets & mickey waffles were very good. We will return to this restaurant in the future  Total cost for 2 adults & 1 child $55.86.

Dinner – ASMu Foodcourt

The food here was good & we found a nice variety to choose from. I had the chicken Parmesan, which came with a ceasar salad & breadstick. For dessert I had carrot cake & a bottled water for my drink. Garret had the spaghetti with meatballs, which came with a ceasar salad & breadstick. He had powerade for his drink. Riley had the super nachos & a powerade for his drink. Neither of the boys found anything they wanted for dessert(they were out of cookies & brownies), so I got a cheesecake & muffin to take back to the room. Total cost $43.16.

Tuesday Oct. 4th

Lunch – ASMu Foodcourt

I had a beef taco salad with a chocolate crossiant for dessert & a bottled water. The taco salad was very good, but I did not care for the crossiant. Garrett had chicken strips with fries & a brownie for dessert with a powerade. Riley had a double cheeseburger with fries & a cookie for dessert & a powerade. Total cost $36.39.

Dinner –

Liberty Inn/Epcot

Garrett had chicken strips with fries & the jello for dessert with a sprite. Riley had a double cheeseburger with fries & vanilla ice cream for dessert with a sprite. Total cost $24.33.

Tangierine Café/Epcot

I had the lamb sandwich & baklava for dessert with a bottled water. The bread was a little on the hard side & I did not like the taste of the hummus. But the lamb was good, next time I will try the platter. The baklava was delicious! Total cost $13.36.

Wednesday Oct. 5th

Lunch – ESPN Club

We shared 2 table service meals here & we really could have shared one lol For appetizers we had the ESPN dingers & macho nachos. I could have just eaten the nachos & been fine. The boys ordered a soda with their meal & I had a water. For our entrees I had Club wrap & the boys shared the Rib Eye steak with garlic mashed potatoes & vegetables. The club wrap was very good, but I could only eat half of it. The boys cleaned their plates & said the Rib Eye was very good. For dessert they had shakes. We all enjoyed eating here & getting here during lunch we were seated when we walked in. Our server was friendly & brought us our food quickly. We will eat here again. Total cost $66.25.

Supper – Crystal Palace

We had seatings for 8:50pm. The place was very busy for being so late. We have eaten breakfast & lunch here before & I prefer these over the dinner. The character interaction was good & getting to see Rabbit was a bonus! The food on the buffet was good & we all left with full tummys. I do not recall what we all ate, but I do remember the Key Lime Pie. Oh this was so yummy! I also tried the Red Velvet Cheesecake & some type of peanut butter chocolate cake. These were good as well, but the pie was the winner! Total cost $74.09.

Thursday Oct. 6th

Dinner – LTT

We had seatings for 4:30pm & were seated as soon as we checked in. This was our favorite meal of the trip! The only thing I did not care for was the beef, it was very dry. But the ham & turkey were good. The salad was good & oh my I think I ate 3 of the rolls with butter lol Garrett loved the potatoes with gravy & even ate his green beans. Riley ate the mac & cheese & said it was better than the other places we had eaten at. The stuffing was good as well with gravy on it. The boys were served dirt for dessert beings it was a Halloween night. This was chocolate pudding with cookie crumbs & gummy worms. They ate the gummy worms & left the rest. I had the cherry cobbler with vanilla ice cream. This was so good! Garrett shared the ice cream with me. The service here was great & we will definetly eat here again. It was cool seeing the characters & servers dressed up for Halloween. Total cost $75.91.

Late Snack –

We ate at Caseys before leaving the park at closing. We made it here right as they were getting ready to close. We all had the Grand Slam hotdogs with fries & brownies for dessert. I had a bottled water & the boys got a soda. The hotdogs were the best! We saved the brownies & took them back to the resort with us. It was nice sitting outside watching everyone leave the park while we ate. Total cost $30.36

Friday Oct.7th

Breakfast -ASMu foodcourt

For breakfast we each had a pancake platter with sausage. Riley had a Nestle strawberry milk & did not want a dessert. Garrett had a white milk & a muffin & I had a bottled water & a muffin. This was typical fast food breakfast. We saved the muffins for later. Total cost $26.83.

Lunch – Planet Holly wood

We had a late lunch around 5pm. We shared our last 2 sit down credits here. It was not to busy, so we were seated quickly. For appetizers we had the Texas Tostadas & Chicken Crunch. The boys ate the chicken but would not try the tostadas. They were very good. I ordered the Steak Fajitas & the boys shared the Rib Eye steak with fries & a vegetable. They both said the steak was very good. The fajitas were very good as well, but I was not able to finish. I had a water for my drink & the boys had a soda. For dessert the boys had a shake. This was a lot of food & we probably could have shared 1 table service with me just eating the appetizer. The service was good & we did not have to wait long for our food. The boys enjoyed eating here & liked the atmosphere. Total cost for 2 meals $81.18.

Late Supper – Wolfgang Puck Express

We decided to grab something eat before heading back to the resort. We were the last to be waited on before they closed the doors at 11pm. Garrett ordered the Chicken sandwich with just BBQ sauce, Riley had the mac & cheese, & I ordered a pepperoni & mushroom pizza. We had soda for our drinks. For dessert we had chocolate cake & crème brulee. We took the food back to our resort. Riley did not care for the mac &cheese. Garrett liked the chicken, but not the bun. I loved my pizza, but was still full from eating earlier & was only able to eat 2 slices. Garrett tried the chocolate cake & did not care for it. I took a couple of bites of the crème brulee, but could not finish it. I thought the food here was very good & look forward to eating pizza here again. Total cost $39.46.

Saturday Oct. 8th

Lunch – ASMu foodcourt

After checking out of the resort we stopped by the foodcourt for lunch. I had a chicken salad sandwich, Garrett hade a ham & cheese sub & Riley ordered a Taco salad. For drinks Garrett & I had a Nestle Quick chocolate milk & Riley had a strawberry milk. For dessert we each got a chocolate chip cookie. These we took with on our flight home & ate on the plane. Total cost $27.52.

Snacks –

We used the snack credits for bottled water, popcorn, fountain drinks, ice cream, cookies, & chips. Total cost $50.56.

I saved $827.23 with the free dining plan! Even if I had payed for this I would still be ahead. I would never spend this much on food :rotfl: We had no trouble using the dining plan or with sharing table service. We were able to try new places & most we look forward to going back. There are still some places we want to try on future trips :earboy2: I loved using this plan & not having to worry about how much a meal was going to cost, I will use the dining plan on future trips.

Enjoyed reading your reviews ~ Thanx for posting.

I'll sit down and do a dining report soon, but I just have to say we had a different experience on Oct 6 - same opinion of the meat, but we didnt get a dessert at all!! I had pre ordered a cake, it was frozen, the icing was falling off, and I told our server it was unacceptable... and then he brought the bill!! It really put a damper on my meal!! My dd would've loved the pudding dessert, and dh and I were looking forward to the cobbler... I'm just sitting here in shock!!

Oh I would have been very upset! It was part of the meal, did you say anything? Sorry this happened. Maybe they thought beings you had the cake you would not want it :confused3 They still should have offered both dessert items to you.

We loved the free dining package. It was so nice not to care about how much anything cost. I felt much more at ease not worrying about the eating budget. This was a perk I hope Disney repeats. Spoodles was our favorite for dinner. CRT was a close second.

I'll go during low times to get this deal. I do prefer room discounts, but I don't think there will ever be a deal this good for value or moderates.

I do believe having ADRs is very important on a dining plan, paid or not. We were able to get in early a few times and we were able to arrive late a few times without a problem at the restaurants.

Our eating budget usually allowed one meal at Disney on-site and one off per day with breakfast in our room from groceries. I liked not going out of Disney premises; it's more relaxing and saves time. I will pay for the plan; we were that happy with it.

On previous visits we would do maybe one sit down meal. With the plan we were able to try 4 different character meals :Pinkbounc I agree ARDs are a must if you have a certain place you are wanting to eat at.
