FREE dining plan for kids in 2026 is valid for DVC point stays

3 kids in age range- was hoping all 3 could be free with 2 adults but I’ll still do some calculations and maybe it’s worth it. Kids could get some character meals this way.
Yeah, same. I’ll end up paying about as much in tips per character meal as what I’ll save across my two free children. Third child isn’t free. This probably leverages us into more (# and $) dining than we’d normally do, too. Hmm…

Our issue is you really need to do the math on these things....

The issue is a lot of restaurants require 2 meals to go there....

Now, for DVC owners, particularly OKW and SSR can offer an easy way to use it - but if you're staying at RIV or VGF much tougher....

Looks like they will be free.

I just booked a fake reservation in a studio for 1 night with 1 adult and 4 kids.

QS after tax $60.47 ($55.53 pretax)
TS after tax $98.58 ($91.82 pretax)

my points are currently tied up so I can’t attempt more kids with a 2 bedroom.

I think its a good deal... will easily make up for those who do not order liquor... but then again a soda sells a huge premium.
Now to convince a 19 YO he can survive on kids meals CS only.
I do not see this lasting long for DVC without something attached thinking about what I just said.

So hypothetically you could book yourself and your kids and just...not put your spouse on the room. Then you'd get 1 adult and two kids for free and split over four people? (Or even more dishonestly...add your connected friends kids to your room and get a bonus free kid?!). Feels like you could glitch the system some.

Overall, as a family of four with two kids in the range, this will be a huge savings. We typically do two night stays, so we can do table dinners Friday/Saturday, lunches Saturday/Sunday, and use the snacks on breakfast or dole whip! Then get bonus free soda cups and our overall costs will be lower than if we did all that separately!

I would certainly advise against this.

Your SO would need to be listed on the room if that person is going.

I was only testing as someone said only 2 of their kids would be free.
A lot of families that own DVC have larger families and I was thinking that is not right to penalize those families with more children or those that are single parents with multiple children but in this case Disney seems to actually do the right thing here.

I hope people are honest to not ruin it for those that need it.

Unfortunately for us DS is classified as an Adult even though DS doesn't even come close to finishing a kids meal.

Absolutely - I started paying for my kids annual passes on their third birthdays, I am beyond risking funny business when it comes to my families favorite things. Just thinking through the implications!

I clearly need to spend some quality time with the DDP threads in this board 😂 but… what are your favorite breakfast snack options?

I've never done the dining plan before, so not sure what would qualify. I'm hoping the pancake breakfast sandwich at animal kingdom - one of my favorite snacks I've ever had at disney!

Of course, my youngest turns 10 the end of this year. I wish they'd offer some kind of discount for it for kids that are 10-18 or 10-20 as they can't drink, now that both my kids will be 10+ I don't see us ever getting it again.
