Free dining plan and premium/platinum myw packages

I wasn't sure about this; so, I figured someone here would know.

I know there are minimum days required to get the free dining promo. If you comply with that requirement are you allowed to upgrade to the better plans and apply a credit? I know it works from QS to basic regular dining and deluxe, but what about beyond those levels? If you want to go platinum will they deduct the $40 plus value from free dining for the upgrade to platinum? I wasn't sure; because, the premium and platinum packages include other perks besides dining.

You can't upgrade to premium or platinum from the free dining plan.

Those two all-inclusive package plans are not Disney Dining Plans, it's a different program altogether.
