Free Dining plan and DVC members?

Is the Free Dining Plan currently being offered to DVC members?

Remember that "free dining" is just a package discount for off-peak seasons to get more people in the resorts. DVC already has a non-peak discount by requiring fewer points per night/week during those seasons.

If the points costs were constant over the course of the year, then DVC would likely offer some extra benefit to members who chose the less contentious off-peak dates.

No, there's no need for Disney to offer free food to DVC members. We don't need to be encouraged to book rooms in "slow" periods, and by being members we are already getting a substantial discount on the rooms we book. Free dining exists to entice guests to pay full price for rooms at times of year when many would ordinarily not consider making a trip to Disney World.

For these reasons, free dining has never been offered on DVC reservations.

DVC members are as welcome as anyone else to purchase a full price room/tickets package reservation with free dining (and bank our points).
