Free Dining PIN

I sent an email to my travel agent to inquire about the free dining that was just extended. She told me that the CM told her that PIN number we had on our file is already giving us the free dining. But we are travelling during "blackout dates". My question is this possible? Can I call Disney to confirm this myself or do I have to go to my agent? If this is true that my cost should be less now, can I find this out with out contacting my agent?

You can call; your PIN is attached to you, not your TA. I'm guessing this is the same PIN that is scheduled to go "live" on the 13th. I didn't ask about specific dates, but I was told the one attached to my name is good during my preferred travel dates (which are early Nov and have been blacked out for the extended public offering and the recent Monster pin.)

I didn't ask much because I was just too excited just learning we had one that would be good for our dates. :) Call and let us know what they say.

How can you find out if you have a PIN attached to your name? When I call Disney reservations they wouldnt tell me. She was a little rude and wasnt very helpful at all. I am just frustrated because the dates we are traveling are blacked out and had i not booked air i would switch my dates. I was just hoping for some sort of discount or pin but I cant seem to find out if i have one...

She wasn't aware of the July 13th date on it until I asked specifically. Then she said "Oh, you're right, that one is not active yet. Thanks for pointing that out." I said I'd heard about it on the Dis and she laughed and said the Dis always seems to know even before they do. :)

If you get the actual PIN number you can call and ask what the blackout dates are. You cannot call Disney and ask about your exisiting reservation. Your TA owns that, so any conversations regarding the specifics of your reservation will need to go through them. Good luck!:)

So when i call maybe i shouldnt let them no i have an existing reservation? my reservation is booked under my friend. why i dont know. my travel dates are dec.7-dec.14...going to call tonight hopefully i can get someone who can help me!

I just called and the CM couldn't help me with anything connected to my reservation, I have to find out from my TA.
So if that part is not active until July 13th, I am going to have to contact her after that day to get her to find out what my new balance owing is. Well that will be hard to do - wait a week to find out how much money I am saving! :eek:

FWIW, it sounds like your TA already confirmed you have a PIN, so YAY!! :)

Now if you're going to lose sleep wondering if its true, then I would call back and just ask what offers you have; you shouldn't have to reference your reservation just to find that out. (I see why you would if you wanted to know your specific savings for the exisiting ressie, but just to find out if the PIN is there and valid, then I don't see why you would.)
 
My understanding is the pp just called and found out she had to go through her TA for any res changes.
I don't know that the TA confirmed anything. At least I did not get that.
