Free dining pin...can't i share it with other traveling?

I got a free dining pin yesterday for the late fall dates. I have heard that you can book up to 3 rooms with a pin. My good friend/neighbor is going with us during the same week, so I asked the first CM if I could book her also. He said, no you have to be related, this is only for families! So I called back and was told by another CM that she could book, she just had to move her dates up one day because of the pin. So when we called back to do this another cast member said you have to be staying at the same hotel to book the pin!!! But the other CM was going to do it w/no problem. So what are the rules? I never know what to believe from CM anymore, they all say different things-obviously! I called the other day asking about Spectromagics return, and she didn't even know what I was talking about

I have never heard that you had to be related, or staying at the same resort, only that you can use it to book up to 3 rooms.

I have been able to book up to three rooms on a pin code, but I was told it had to be at the same resort as well.
