Free Dining - Pay for Upgrade?

Hello! I am sorry if this has been addressed somewhere! My computer is making the search feature nearly impossible for me today!

In 2008, DS and I stayed at POP and had the regular free dining. We chose to pay the difference (at the time $32 per person per day) to upgrade to Deluxe Dining.

I see that Disney now tiers the dining plan so that the value resorts get free quick service and the moderates the free regular plan.

Can you still pay the difference to upgrade the plan regardless of what resort you stay at? We just love POP and aren't real fond of the moderates, but QS dining just won't work for us!

We aren't going back to WDW until 2011 but trying to being planning I know. (I know that all info is subject to change when the '11 info comes out but I just wanted to know this year)

Yes, you can pay the difference & upgrade the dining plan from quick to regular D or to DD. no matter which Resort you decide to stay at.
We decided last year to stay in a moderate instead of a value & we got free regular dining that way instead of the small diffence each day to upgrade.

Thank you, good to know. So in theory we could stay at POP and pay the difference between QS and Deluxe ... not sure we would, just wanted to know we could.

We would much rather spend the money towards having our meals pre-paid than on the room as we spend so little time there. We have done most of the deluxe resorts and although we love them, we are perfectly happy at POP!
