Ok, so my best friend and I are going to WDW from Aug 27th to Sept 3rd on the Free Dining plan :cloud9:

However, I have an annual pass and she does not. I got the package with a 1 day base ticket for each of us.

Will she be able to upgrade her 1 day ticket to a 7 day MYW Premium when we get there? I won't be upgrading mine, just using it one day and my annual pass for the rest of the trip

Sounds like a plan, but I only suggest that you not use your one day ticket since you have an AP and save it for the next time you have to get an AP (either new or renewed). You can apply the value of that ticket ($67) toward your next AP purchase. That is what we plan to do. I think guest relations is going to be busy.

Doesn't the base pass expire if it isn't used within 14 days? If not the i'll definately put it towards renewing my AP :)

A ticket expires 14 days after it's first used. A one day ticket can only be used once, so it doesn't expire. :)

To answer the other question, I went with a friend in Jan and she was able to increase her ticket to a 10 day non expiring while I kept mine as we originally booked. She did this at the front desk of our hotel.

We were there last Sept for free dining. I just used my 1 day ticket in Feb. I upgraded it. I would suggest upgrading at the parks. They seem to know more than the people working at guest services in the hotels.

Ok...this might be trying to monopolize the system...but hypothetically...could she put both my 1 day pass and her one day pass towards her 7 day premium pass? Or would the one day base pass automatically be in my name? Im assuming she can only put the value of her ticket towards her weeks worth of passes, but hey it never hurts to ask right?

Only one ticket is allowed to be put towards an upgrade

I spoke with a cast member yesterday because we are bringing our neice and nephew with us in sept and paying for the trip. They have an AP so I asked if we could use their base tix towards the renewal of our AP and also my base tix towards our renewal (so 4 base tix for 2 AP renewals) and he said yes. I made him double check and he was positive.

I asked this same question in person to the cast member at guest relations at DTD and was told no. I had to renew my AP and my grandson has just gotten a new AP. I asked if I could apply his one day ticket to the cost of my AP and the CM said NO, because the one day ticket has my grandson's name on it and can only be used for him or upgraded for him since it's his and they are non-transferable. However, you would be able to apply the value of YOUR one day ticket to the purchase of your AP. I have a CM friend who works for guest relations and she confirmed this. However, you can always try, you never know when the rules have changed, but be prepared that you may be told only one ticket can be applied (I tried only 6 months ago).

Like n2mm said, maybe it's changed - but all the info here & on another site says that you cannot combine tickets towards an upgrade.

Unfortunately, I've seen several posts the past few days with CM info that was incorrect - I'd call back & ask again.
