Free dining package...questions

I have a couple of questions about the free dining package...especially as it concerns passholders who don't need the tickets.

Can the single day, single park ticket be saved and used in the future? The only rule I'm seeing is that the tickets need to be used within 14 days of first use. This is pretty meaningless with a one day ticket as it will be used the first day of use. Could I potentially save the one day tickets and apply their purchase price to other tickets in the future?

We have DVC reservations in September with the dining plan (that we'll be paying for) and usually add a couple nights at another resort. If we add 3 or more nights and those one day tickets we can get the dining plan on that reservation free....that's looking pretty good to me!

Also, with the free dining package how are the payments/cancellation policy? Are they different if you book online vs. by phone?

If you don't use the one day pass that you need to buy with the package, it is good until you decide to use it, next month or next year. Just be sure not to accidentally use it for a park entrance.
The payment rules for this package are the same as any other disney package.

Is the one day pass on your room key??? My parents are joining us (they will have park hoppers for the 1st 10 days of our trip), and my DH, kids, and I have annual passes. I was hoping that the one day pass would be a ticket, that perhaps I could give to one of my parents to use. Does anyone know how this one day pass is issued?

The ticket is on your room key.

Would they be able to use my room key for admission?
Would guest relations "pull" the ticket off the room keys so I could give mine , DH's, DD's , and DS to my parents?
