Hi!! Have been playing around with special offers and end up getting the same dollar amount for al three. Is there such thing as free dining ? Which you save more (mod or deluxe) through Room only, free dining or FL resident discount (Which i have)...help!!

When I crunched the numbers yesterday I got $3000 for POR with free dining or $2500 for POR with the room discount. Both were for Royal Room, garden view. So, in that case the room discount was cheaper but dining wasn't included. However I actually booked 3 weeks ago and got a price of $2800 with free dining so I'm going to stick with that since I doubt we could eat for 8 days for $300. One offer was a cheaper price while the other was a better value. It all depends on how you look at it.

It depends on a lot of factors:
- party size
- ages
- level of resort
- availability
- your eating habits
- etc etc

In general, Free Dining is best for Value to Moderate resorts with at least 2 people. In order to qualify, you pay rack rate (full price) for your hotel room and at least 2 day tickets for each person on the reservation in exchange for a particular dining plan. The "value" of this option depends on whether or not there's an applicable room-only discount, and whether you'll actually use ALL the entitlements included on the plan.

Room-only/Florida resident discounts tend to be better for the Deluxe resorts, unless you plan on filling your room to capacity (it which case Free Dining MIGHT be better).

If you're getting the same cost for every option, it's possible that there might not be availability with one or more of your discounts at the resort(s) you're looking at for your dates. In order to come up with a "true" comparison, you have to make all things equal (tickets, dining plan etc).
