Free Dining Oct-Dec Is Here!!

Here's some info on the Room Discounts.

They will run until December 23rd, with the only blackouts being Thanksgiving week.

Dave is doing a write-up, and I will post a link to an article in the morning (once it's posted), that should fill in some more gaps for everyone.

:) SO HAPPY. Thanks for the good news

Whew! I was at an educational conference on July 15-18 when this thing broke-- I have only just now finished reading all 111 pages. I was so relieved when that person finally got FD with her father's pin. Also, this was a question from page 65 that I didn't see an answer for; does anyone know?

I got 6 months free financing for the $200 down payment. I think any charge $200 or more on a vacation package gets the 6 months of 0%. It says vacation package on the card website so not sure if you get the financing if you just have a room only reservation.

The only thing holding me back from getting the Disney Visa is the annual fee. Right now I have a bank debit card and an Amazon visa. Neither have fees. I don't think I would save enough with the DV to get my annual fee back. Any experience? Thoughts?

I have posted on this previously. If you do what I did, and funnel all bills through this card , you can very easily recoup the fee plus much much more.

The DVP card will give 2% on gas and food and restaurants, and 1% on everything else.

You can do the math. But we usually net a minimum 10-30 a month. The only bills you cannot funnel through this card is you mortgage and student loans.

I have gone so far as to pay bills for others and let them give me a check. Helped folks out for my Disney rewards....what could be better???

Just pay off your monthly balance so you do not pay interest, which ruins the deal.

With all the talk about the Disney Visa, it reminded me of something interesting. On the front of the card, there's a section that says "member since", and would normally have a date there. On mine, it says "Day One". I always loved that....

I am very jealous of this statement....

You shouldn't have a problem getting a room at Pop, but for your backup I say try something new!!! Music, then???:thumbsup2

Dave from your first visit .net did a 3 part review on the resort; his most recent stay was in May 2013
http://**************.net/2013/07/03/review-disneys-all-star-music-resort-2/

Oh that's great! I saw the refurb info at AS Sports...eek. I really don't want to deal with that do hopefully pop will work out. I gotta start looking at other places besides the DisBoards as I finalize planing!

I ordered mine Friday too but still nothing. :(

***For Anyone Who Is Thinking About The Disney Debit Card***

They currently have an offer that if you open a new checking account, make a $100 deposit within 10 business days & setup Direct deposit (within 60 days of opening your account) with at least $500 deposited monthly you can get a $200 bonus!!! Here's the link to the page that will generate the a code for you https://www.chase.com/ccp/index.jsp?pg_name=ccpmapp/shared/marketing/page/229219_200_frdm_lg&ID=0000015611&jp_aid_a=rg/10856/int/rg_10856_15611_cighalf_32264/cighalf

Note!!!! I created my account last Friday and just found the offer today so I sent them a message and said when I first setup my account I tried to enter a code and it didn't take it so I assumed it was because I hadn't setup direct deposit so I opened my account to get an account number so I could. Then I went on today and tried to add a code (in the customer service section) and it said I was ineligible. They just responded and THEY ADDED THE CODE FOR ME!!!!!!!!! So if anyone just opened an account I would give it a try. :thumbsup2

Wow! This is tempting! That is a free $200 toward our vaca :)

When FD is released, do resorts open a new block of rooms? For example: as of now POR is showing no availability for late October. I do not want to switch resorts, so I am just wondering if more rooms will be available once FD is public?

This is great news. We have been planing our trip based on similar info from the last few years and now we will save some money.. Great Planning....

Where did you get this info from?

Can anyone answer my question about where the info from these dinning dates came from?

Is anyone reading this?

If you read the first post on this thread it says the original poster got his info from Dave at yourfirstvist. The RO discount "leak" write up might be added in the morning according to original poster and again thanks to **************. Sometimes when news this great is being leaked, replies tend to get overlooked in all the excitement. Hope this helps!

Does it particularly matter where it comes from? You've asked 3 times in one day. I'm curious why the rush to need to know the source of the "leak". If it helps your vacation, terrific.

Hey guys, I've clarified the room only blackout dates in the first post of the room only thread. Also, since resorts tend to vary so greatly, I've just narrowed the list of discounts down to resort type as well. On the morning of the offer, posters here can clarify in more detail the exact percentage of certain rooms in certain resorts, since some rooms at the same resort can even carry different discounts.

Oh and the discounts are a bit higher as well, with Values at 25%, Moderates at 30% and Deluxes at 35%, again these vary greatly and some places like French Quarter and AOA will be much lower...but until that morning, it's just too confusing to try and list each specific.

Also, here's an article to help a bit more:

Dave and I have been discussing these discounts since the September ones came out back in May. We have daily discussions on various things regarding discounts now and in the future. At this point we are beginning to discuss what's on the table for next year. But it's still too early to talk about that yet, and I don't want to get into too much detail about our discussions, sources, etc...

Honestly, don't care where the info comes from I know that if it comes from Black or Danny it is pretty solid informaiton.
