Free Dining Oct-Dec Is Here!!

Keep postive thoughts, don't make any changes till you have to and call lots to see if you qualify for a FD plan. You just never know when you qualify or when a CM sprinkles you. It happeded to me. I called number number of times checking for Pin, discount code, anything and finally a CM gave me FP. After she verified I didn't have a PIN.

Don't give up hope! And there's always ways to make it work. May not what you originally thought, but than again, it may be better.

Thanks. I just called again. No offer, but it sure brought on the tears again. Do you specifically ask for pixie dust? Or will that be a sure-fire no? I guess I could call and tell them my big long spill, but would it do any good?

I have a random question. I was trying to get on the WDW page earlier and it wouldn't load. While looking for the old link I stumbled across the page for England. For fun I put in dates I want for Oct 2014 (really hoping for a BB this year) and it said "congratulations you can receive free dining for these dates if you purchase park tickets with your package" uh......what?!?! FD already being offered for Oct 2014 for people coming from England?? Is this normal?

Yep. Totally normal, but their free dining offers are totally different than ours. So just because they have it for a certain timeframe doesn't indicate what the US offer will be.

Ahhh similar dilemma!! I can't get to the Disney site at work to get official pricing but I've figured that it's about 19/adult to upgrade to "plus" dining if you are staying at a Value (I'm at ASM). And the Mods are almost 100 more per night but then dining would be free. So I think the better way to go is value but it's just my brain is tired I can't calculate the better deal. I just want to be prepared if(WHEN) the deal is released to the public in a few weeks so I can get my dialing fingers ready.

Good luck to you!

I did this last night. We are staying at Pop so for us to pay the difference from qsdp to reg saved us 365. If we upgraded to POR preferred room we would save 150.

Debating on if the queen beds is worth it.

I tried to check for you gh015c4116, but the site was acting up for me. While on the phone with a cm I asked what was going on and he talked to computer maintenance. He came back and said the site was currently down and would be back up in a little while.

Pretty sure fire way to get no pixie dust is to ask ;) according to most CMs. Unfortunately, a lot of people have really heartbreaking stories. Telling them doesn't do a whole lot of good. I'd just keep checking back and if something happens great! pixiedust:

Okay I need help deciding if this is worth it or not. I am booked at asMo, for myself my 2 daughters 5,7 and my sister 9. The dates are from November 10-15. I know the free dining isnt suppose to start until the 11th. On the 10th I have Cinderella's Royal Table Booked for Dinner. Is it going to be worth getting the free dining and upgrading it to the Deluxe dining (thats what I have already) and paying out of pocket for Cinderella? :confused3

Hi

Could some one help me please by giving me a price for 13th to 22nd dec at all stars resorts (any of them) and AoA with a 5 day ticket, for 2 adults 2 children(14 and 11):goodvibes
(im in the uk and cant seem to get usa prices up )
Thanks

Here's the low down:
All-Star Movies (all of AS's still had availability) standard- $2,770.20 plus 12% tax. It would be $18.08 more per night for a preferred room. Those were 5 day base tickets.

There was no availability for AoA LM or suites  online; calling may be different.

Hope this helps???pixiedust:

We have already booked (were going no matter if free dining was released or not) through a travel agent at POR in a River View room from 11/11 to 11/17. We have a request put in for a mansion building. Our $200 deposit was made in February.

So I'm thrilled our dates are in the free dining period. Even if altering our booking means the ticket prices increase, I figure we're still saving around $700 or so (family of 3, child under 9) with the promotion.

I have a question, though. We have a Disney Visa and can our travel agent use the number to change things? Do we need to make a 2nd deposit? We don't have our reservation number, as our TA hasn't released it (agency policy) and doesn't prior to full payment.

Would GF Villas be included in the free dining...just curious. :thumbsup2

Also, if you went the day prior to free dining starting, would you get free dining throughout your stay? I'm pretty sure you do but, wanted to double check.

Yes, your TA would have to add the promotion and if you are doing it during the Visa offer, your TA would have to make a $200 payment on your Disney Visa. ;)

No. Eligibility goes by your check in date. You would need to do a room only for the first night and a separate package reservation starting on a day FD is offered to receive it.

I'm a NJ resident, our teachers convention is 11/7 and 11/8.....most NJ'ers will leave no later taken Sunday, 11/10 since we have school on the 11th (most of us)

That's what I had read. In my mind, if Disney wanted to black out jersey week, they wouldn't leave Novmeber 2 as a free dining day. If that was my trip, I would be arriving at Disney the 2nd, the kids only have to miss 3 days of school and you get the whole week. Maybe saturday isn't as big of a arrival day as I think? Same thing goes for the Saturday before thanksgiving. If I was going that week, I could arrive on Saturday, kids miss 2 days of school and have the week at Disney. In my head I have the Saturday before jersey week and the Saturday before thanksgiving as being more popular arrival days then the Saturday before Veterans Day. This Disney logic is so hard to crack. LOL

Thanks smitch.
I know there is a lot of speculation about FD going away in the future. Seeing that they are offering England FD for Oct next yr already what kind of speculation is there to a FD BB offer this year?

I get your logic, but most parents will take a late flight Wednesday and return Sunday.....rarely so people take the whole week....IME...our kids typically go to school on Election Day too....the only time schools are closed for that is if they use the school as a polling place. If you check airfare feline the 6th and the 10th....it should be outrageous.

They'll make a 4 day vacation without losing any school time.

We check in on the 28th. If they did change it so it starts the 29th that is going to be a bummer. We'll have to discuss and see what we will do. Don't want to risk having to change rooms.

We are going on the same date. I believe I can keep the same room and do a room only (as its booked now) on the 28th and change the rest of the trip to a free dining package.
