Free Dining Oct-Dec Is Here!!

Question...slightly off topic but not really...

We are booked with the free dining pin at POP in two rooms (and hoping Thursday to move that to one room at POR). We are currently checking in Tuesday, October 29, checking out Sunday, November 10. My oldest son qualified for a big wrestling tournament in North Carolina. It is the weekend before (October 26 & 27). So, he and I are going to fly into NC that Friday, he will wrestle and we will fly into MCO on the Monday (October 28th). Assuming we can add that day onto our free dining res, can we still have DH and the other two kids check in on the 29th? Trying not to change their airfare :/ So, it would be two separate ME reservations, but one resort...some of us just arriving later than the rest.

Yes, you could either do that or you and your son could get a room at/near the airport and join the rest of the family on ME.

Disney does not announce anything until the day the deal goes live. Deals always get leaked a week or two (sometimes more) ahead of time. Disney Visa/debit holders typically get a 3 day head start at booking deals, so we will know ahead of time that it definitely will go public and on what date because it will be listed in the Visa release. It will state something like, "Hurry before this deal becomes available to the public on xx/xx/xx". The Visa offer will not be on the Disney website. It will show up sometime Monday morning, but usually late in the morning (several hours after it becomes bookable). It will be posted here...

I ordered mine on a Friday and it came tues- but it came in a plain envelope, not a regular chase one- so make sure you don't overlook it!

Ok if someone could help a girl out. We are going Nov 17-23 & staying at POP. We have already purchased the QSDP & know that is what is available at value. We will be upgrading to DP. I know that the upgrade is $19 per person per night.

I hadn't really even priced out that scenario this year. Guess I need to do that since 2 of ours changed to Disney adults since last years trip. Now it's 5 adults/1 child (DH, me, teen, 10, 10 and 8). They do love Pop though.

My AAA TA said there will be codes that DV holders will get and she will need to get us the discount. Is this true? I have never den this before and want to make sure I have everything in order for next week.

While there are codes, I've never used one when calling. I just tell them I'm calling for the free dining plan and that's it. They have the codes believe me.

We haven't used our Disney Visa in so long, since we usually use our Southwest Visa to try to get miles, that when I took it out of my wallet yesterday, it was expired for almost a year! Called last night and they are sending new cards but said it would take 5 business days. I'll have to call to find out the new expiration date if it's not here by Monday.

BTW, since it's been so long since I've used Disney Visa to book a trip, what # do I call? Is it the visa # or is it the regular Disney reservation #?

That just sounds so unacceptable. I hate to feel like someone else is holding me hostage like that. Being on hold a few times a year is part of the deal if you want to be a TA and a good one will be up at 7am even though their office doesn't open until 9am. If I had a TA like that, it would certainly be the last time I used her. Then again, this is why I've never used one...I like being in control of my own vacation.

Could you book your own and cancel with you have with her? Ive already touched base with my TA to make sure she is going to be in office monday morning extra early with my stuff first on her to do list! LOL

Oh My Gosh girl, I havent changed mine a hundred times, but ive been stressed about them for months! I actually was lucky to get exactly what I wanted at the times I wanted.... but in my mind ive know that with out FD, I would have to cancel most (if not all) of them!! So come Monday, I will finally have peace! We are doing CRT, Pre park Crystal Palace, Mama Melrose with Fantasmic, Coral Reef and 1900 Park fare breakfast! These are all new places for us, and we are soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Ughhh! How frustrating!!!! I can't believe she said that; okay, I can believe, but it was not appropriate. That is not the always the case. Maybe send her a really nice email just asking her to please try first thing Monday? And maybe tell her that if she is on hold for more than 30 mins (just a random #) then to hang up and try again later in the day. In May, my TA had me booked at 7:19 am. Good Luck!
