If you change a reservation after the ticket prices increased you have to pay the new ticket prices. This is only if you change the reservation, like to get a discount or free dining. Otherwise you still pay the old ticket prices.

I get that, and I'm fine with it. I just find it hard to believe that its $300 more just for ticket price hike? Could it really be that much for a family of 4 - 2 adults 2 kids?

I'm in the same boat, waiting, waiting, waiting. And nothing! I'm getting so upset and anxious!
As far as the price incresae both rooms and tix have increased so I bet that's where it is. But it was my understanding that if the ressie was made before the increase you'd be all set.

Another possibility for the price increase is that the room type you had originally is not available so you had to get a water or garden view or some other upgrade.

Anyone else still waiting for their TA to get through?? This is pure madness!!! She has been on hold since 7am, and told that the site has gone down at least 3-4 times. Said she is back on hold again, the site is up, and I'm going to be the first person she books. This is simply killing me!!!

The other thing that is really bothering me, is my TA quoted me a price with FD back in June, and now shes quoting me again, and this new price is about $300 MORE than the quote back in June. Can anyone figure out why that would be????

And the site is down again....They can't get it to work. What a mess

Yes, that could be it too. But the TA should give you a breakdown so you can compare and see why.

Dunno, usually i an switch to DDP and still save money.
With the spit stay and 2 days being rack rate, its coming out just as ex*****ve.

So its either 8 days regular dining plan.

Or 6 days DDP and 2 days no DP....

How does one decide on that???
Curse November 9

When I check my reservation info it is all the same. Nothing has changed and I'm to the point of not caring anymore. I'm stressed out over this and Disney is not worth it. If I get FD then I get it...if not...oh, wll, I won't be going through a travel agent or at least not through this one. No FD will just affect the tips we give out:sad2: I know it's NOT the servers faults but we have to cut somewhere....maybe..hopefully it will change and we can give our normal tip of $20 per meal...we'll see

I sent you a message here!

Look on the bright side...I'd rather mine stay on the phone fighting for what I want than updating me....

that's true and I'm sure she is trying really hard , but then I hear of others whose TA's got them a discount right away...it's really disheartening.

Yes, DU owns this site.

Wow, really? I just thought they sponsored the Dis Cruise forum......I had no idea they ran the whole thing. That explains something I've been wondering about....thanks :)

Has anyone not got a confirmation email for updated reservations? I spoke to a CM right at 7am with no wait but I still have yet to get an email. I am getting worried! She did double check that it did take effect on my reservation before she let me go this morning
:confused3

I'd relax on the email. It'll come. :goodvibes

They have full disclosure here on the site. Here is a portion of it...

Unlike many other Disney fan sites that recommend travel agents without disclosing that they have a financial relationship with them, we choose to make that clear up front. We recommend Dreams Unlimited Travel because they are part of the WDWInfo.com / DISBoards.com family. The owner of WDWinfo.com and DISBoards.com, Pete Werner, is the founder and part owner in Dreams Unlimited Travel. Dreams Unlimited Travel was founded in 1999 (two years after the launch of the DIS) to address what Pete saw as a gap in the travel market. Traditional travel agents didn't have much experience with Disney they based their recommendations solely on Disney's marketing material. That's great for Disney but not necessarily for the traveler. Disney won't tell you when a restaurant isn't any good, or if there are a high number of complaints with a particular hotel, and for the most part, neither would traditional travel agents.

Guess I'll just keep on waiting. When I went through them in 2011 it was smooth sailing and it was with the same agent. I'll just wait and hope for the best. The fb page didn inform me that the TA website went down and that their stuggling to get discounts. Hubby said we'll go no matter what...just wish I would hear something.. She did just send me an email and said she possibly won't get back to me til later today :( Their swamped...just hope I'm able to get fd...I don't care if she doesn't tell me until tomorrow...as long as I get it...lol

I agree. When I booked back in feb for oct i booked what i could afford and I was not even expecting FD or room only discount. So, anything my TA is able to get for me is gravy. I appreciate the effort I know she is putting in for me, considering I'm not flexible on dates or resorts. I've given her 2 backup options, but if she's unable to snag those, I'm more than happy with what I've already got. Plus, I've not been on the phone all morning, I've been catching up on crochet projects.

This was a mess! Never going through our regular TA again for Disney-no clue! At first he called and said I got the 30% discount for you your're saivng $332. What? Our rooms at poly were $3650-$332 is only 10%. Then he went back and redid it and saved us about $1000. I felt like I was having to tell him what to do. I should be getting paid! Still expensive, I wish my dates would have had FD so I could have compared whether RO or FD was better, but I fall in that first week of December which supposedly sold so well they didn't need to do FD-that scares me even more tha the lines are going to be loooooooong!!!

I was able to adjust all 11 reservations for my clients today. I was on hold for about an hour and then on with a CM for nearly 2 hours. I was able to make some great changes for everyone and it was definitely worth the wait this morning. It was like Christmas!

I emailed all of my clients this morning with the details and some of them were able to let me know their back up resort choices. Communication is key!
