Whats your thoughts on free dining for October 2011? When is it released historically? Do you think they will offer it this year?

I would doubt it. Food & Wine fest is becoming very popular. They are having no issues being a high occupancy time. It's the summer months they do this?:surfweb:

Unfortunately Disney changed their recent methods and 2011 free dining dates were released already in 2010, and that offer expired on 12/20/2010. The latest free dining date for 2011 was arrivals on 9/29/2011, nothing for arrivals on October dates.

Right now it's anyone's guess if free dining offers will reappear for 2011, or if we're now waiting for 2012.

If Disney feels like they need it to fill rooms that time of year, they'll probably offer it. As to when, no way to know as they seem to have changed the way they do those offers.

It always STARTS as August/September but then, for the past few years, they have extended it into October, November, and early December (with black-out dates around holidays.)
But this past year they offered the August/September free dining already and you had to book by 12/20/10. So who knows what lies ahead for 2011:confused3

I have to disagree here. October is still a low-demand month (a little busier around Columbus day). Like they did in 2010, they'll wait to see how bookings go and see if they need to fill rooms. I don't see any big improvement to the economy this year so I think we're 100% on free DDP to the end of September (as usual), and 70/30 positive that they'll extend at least thru October.

From the pin codes they have already released a lot of October is blacked out. For those dates it's pretty doubtful they would do free dining but if you have a slower week not near Halloween or Columbus day you might get lucky.

Hoping for it this year. Extended family wants to go Oct 23-29th. Keeping everything crossed cause that would be sweeetttt!!!

Where do you get this information? THANK YOU!:flower3:
