Free Dining & Not Connecting

Hello everyone!

So I called WDW this morning, or at least tried to call, and every call failed or had ungodly static. Every number I called for them, every time I called, I got both of these reactions. I need to add FD to my vacation this fall but I can't if their numbers are not going through.

Has this happened to anyone else today? Or before in the past?

Have definitely experienced trouble getting through when a discount is released in the past. Can you modify online?

We where able to get through but we called exactly at 7 am . last year we had tons of problem with disconnects and being on hold for ever. Last year my wife was on hold for 50 minutes so i decided to call as well and my line was picked up before hers !!! keep trying and it should eventually work. good luck hope it works out.

Well I'll keep trying, I've actually never had this happen when calling to add a special offer even on day of release. Guess there is a first for everything!

Yes and it says that to modify my reservation I have to call. I can't do it online...otherwise I would.

Try just booking a new reservation.

Nothing but AKL and GF left when I try and make a new reservation.

No this will be my 22nd trip to WDW and I have my 23rd trip planned for November which my Mom was able to get through and get the free dining. Yay for multiple phones! But I am having trouble getting it for my September trip.

I guess I have just been lucky enough to always get through.

Oh well, if nothing is left when I do eventually get through it isn't the end of the world.Our whole trip did not depend on getting the free dining plan and we already were going to get one anyways just because our trip is for so long with a group.

Oh Ok... I've always worried why some people aren't able to modify online versus others.

I remember in 2014 it took calling for two days while I was already in disney on vacation to get through only to be old my days were sold out. I was so upset, but I think disney felt bad for me & I got sent a pin code for free dining shortly after.

I have been trying for over three hours and can't get through. Bouncing back and forth between two different phone numbers for Disney. I did book a new package online, but am nervous that my existing dining reservations won't carry over.

Nothing you do to your resort reservation will affect dining reservations you have already made. The systems are separate.

I was finally able to get through at 3pm and spoke to a CM at 4:30 who was extremely helpful!

Long story short I got upgraded from CBR to OLD KEY WEST VILLAS for less than what I would have paid at CBR and free dining!!! That is pixie dust at its finest!
